Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik Spotted Together in NYC, Sparking Dating Rumors
Pop stars Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik were recently spotted dining together in New York City, leading fans to speculate that the two may be romantically involved.
The news of their outing quickly went viral on social media after a user named clarissa.mbec shared a text exchange with a friend who claimed to have hosted the pair at an unnamed restaurant in the city.
Although representatives for both Gomez and Malik have remained tight-lipped about the rumors, fans have been quick to point out that the former One Direction singer was last publicly linked to model Gigi Hadid, while Gomez recently joked about being in search of a crush.
The rumors began to circulate after fans on Twitter noticed that Gomez had recently followed Malik back on Instagram.
She is also one of only 18 accounts that the “Pillow Talk” singer follows on the platform.

In addition, fans have been recirculating a red carpet moment from the early 2010s in which Gomez is asked which member of One Direction she would most like to kiss.
After hesitating briefly, she replies “Zayn” with a giggle.
This is not the first time that Gomez has been linked to another celebrity.
Earlier this year, she was spotted at a bowling alley with The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart, but quickly put an end to any dating rumors by confirming that she was single in a since-deleted Instagram post.
In a recent TikTok video, Gomez poked fun at her relationship status, lip-syncing to audio that said, “I hate it when girls are like, ‘Oh my God, my crush doesn’t even know that I exist.’
Like girl, my crush doesn’t even exist.”
The Rare Beauty founder captioned the clip, “Still out here looking for him lol.”
Meanwhile, Malik has not publicly dated anyone since his split from Hadid in October 2021.
The couple, who were first linked in 2015, share a two-year-old daughter named Kai.
Neither Gomez nor Malik has commented on the rumors of their supposed relationship.
It remains unclear whether the dinner date was a casual meet-up between friends or the start of something more serious.
