According to BuzzFeed, Secret Service officers quizzed Eminem about his songs regarding President Donald Trump and his daughter/senior adviser Ivanka Trump.

Last year, BuzzFeed News filed a Freedom of Information Act request, asking if an inquiry was launched in response to Eminem’s statement on ‘The Ringer,’ which featured on 2018’s surprise album ‘Kamikaze,’ that he was questioned by the Secret Service.

“But I know at least he’s heard it / cause Agent Orange just sent the Secret Service to meet in person to see if I really think of hurtin’ him / or ask if I’m linked to terrorists,” he rapped.

He later takes digs at the media, “But my beef is more media journalists/I said, my beef is more meaty, a journalist
Can get a mouthful of flesh/And yes, I mean eating a penis/’Cause they’ve been pannin’ my album to death.”

The agency gave over 40 pages of documentation last week proving that they did interview the rapper. Their desire to talk with him was apparently sparked by “threatening lyrics” from his song “Framed,” which featured on his 2017 album Revival. Eminem is described by the Secret Service as “exhibiting inappropriate behavior” and noted that he, via the rap, “threatens protectee.”

They did, in fact, interview Eminem after a “concerned citizen” alerted them of the song in December of 2017, according to papers obtained through BuzzFeed’s FOIA request.

A paragraph in the redacted Secret Service documents reads: “the song was about a murder that he could remember and must be ‘framed’ with the specific lyrics, ‘Donald Duck’s on as the Tonka Truck in the yard. But dog, how the fuck is Ivanka Trump in the trunk of my car? … ‘ cause I feel somewhat responsible for the dumb little blonde Girl, that motherfuckin ‘ baton twirler that got dumped in the pond, Second murder with no recollection of it…”

The papers stated, “This is not the first time MATHERS made threatening comments towards POTUS and his family. In June 2017, MATHERS freestyled comments that were threatening in nature towards POTUS.”

Eminem was also interrogated by the secret service regarding his freestyle rap, according to the “Mathers was familiar the song and began rap along with the interviewers as the verse was read.”

According to the records, the “concerned citizen” was a TMZ employee. They sent an email to the Secret Service with a link to a Hill story about the song. “I want to know if your agency is investigating Eminem for his threatening lyrics about First daughter Ivanka Trump,” the individual wrote.

The Secret Service finally declined to send the case to federal prosecutors after consulting with the singer and his attorneys.
