The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, and tennis superstar Roger Federer have teamed up to create a short film that showcases the hard work and dedication of Wimbledon’s ball boys and girls.

The film will be uploaded to YouTube and is intended to shine a light on the rigorous training required for this prestigious job.

As the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Kate has spent considerable time getting to know Federer, one of the most skilled and well-liked tennis players in the world.

Federer has won Wimbledon an incredible eight times throughout his career, and members of the Royal Family have frequently attended his matches to cheer him on from the sidelines.

In 2013, Kate and her husband Prince William watched Federer win his record seventh men’s Wimbledon title against Marin Cilic of Croatia.

After the match, Kate surprised everyone by breaking royal decorum and giving the tennis champion three pecks on the cheek.

Some suggested that this may have been a ritual from Switzerland, Federer’s country of origin, where friends greet each other with three kisses.

Kate and Federer’s friendship has grown over the years, and they recently collaborated on a project to generate money for charities that are particularly important to the princess.

They partnered to donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of tickets to the Labour Cup Open Practice Day at the O2 Arena to two charitable organizations for whom Kate acts as patron: The Lawn Tennis Association and Action for Children.

But their collaboration doesn’t stop there.

Federer has been teaching Prince George, Kate’s son, in private tennis lessons.

During the 2019 Wimbledon tournament, it was discovered that Federer had given the young prince a lesson while visiting the Royal Family at their residence in Norfolk.

Federer commented on the lesson, saying, “At that stage, it’s all about just touching the ball, and it’s already good.”

The short film that Kate and Federer have created for YouTube takes viewers behind the scenes of what it takes to become a Wimbledon ball boy or girl.

They visit the All England Club and speak with current and former ball boys and girls, learning about their experiences in the BBG training program.

Kate even joins the BBGs on court to take part in the training session after playing a doubles rally with Federer on the No.

3 court.

Federer has a special connection to the ball boys and girls, as he worked as a ball boy when he was nine years old while growing up in Basel.

He has said that once a ball kid, always a ball kid.

Kate and Federer’s friendship goes beyond their shared love of tennis.

They have come together to support causes that are important to them, and Federer has even become a mentor to Prince George.

The short film they have created for YouTube is just another example of their collaboration and dedication to the sport of tennis.

In conclusion, Princess Kate and Roger Federer’s bond is one that goes beyond the tennis court.

Their friendship has grown over the years, and they have collaborated on various projects to support causes that are important to them.

Their latest project, a short film showcasing the hard work and dedication of Wimbledon’s ball boys and girls, is a testament to their commitment to the sport and to each other.
