The internet has been captivated by a heartwarming moment involving Princess Charlotte and her older brother, Prince George, during the coronation ceremony of King Charles III.

Last month, eagle-eyed fans shared video footage on TikTok, showcasing the adorable reaction of Princess Charlotte upon spotting her brother during the historic event.

Accompanied by her parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, as well as her younger brother, Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte attended the coronation of her grandfather, King Charles.

However, it was Prince George who had an official role as the page of honor to the monarch.

Buckingham Palace had previously announced this role, which involved George and a group of boys of similar age assisting the king by holding his long velvet robes during the official procession through Westminster Abbey.

On June 22, user Billy_Hargrove1886 uploaded the video footage to TikTok.

The clip, capturing the moment when Charlotte glimpsed her brother during Charles’ procession out of the abbey, has garnered over 3 million views on the platform.

After noticing George, Princess Charlotte turned to her father, Prince William, with a smile before continuing to sing the national anthem alongside the 2,000 guests in attendance at the coronation service.

The video, titled “Princess Charlotte looking up to the future king,” has received more than 290,000 likes and over 200 comments.

Many users praised the young royal for her touching reaction.

One TikTok user wrote, “‘Pretty sure Charlotte is really proud of her brother, and maybe she’s beginning to understand his future.’

So much respect.”

Another comment referenced Prince William, stating, “‘As a parent, it would be difficult not to shed an emotional happy tear.

Well, for me anyway.”

The coronation, which took place on May 6, saw King Charles and Queen Camilla being crowned in a religious service that followed a program written nearly a thousand years ago.

Charles became the 40th reigning monarch to be crowned at Westminster Abbey, located just a short carriage ride away from Buckingham Palace.

After the service, the royal family, including William, Kate, George, Charlotte, and Louis, participated in a procession from the abbey to the palace.

Upon their arrival at the palace, the royals made a traditional appearance on the balcony, greeting the thousands of well-wishers who had gathered to commemorate the occasion.

The crowd also witnessed an aerial fly-past over London.

For the momentous day, Princess Charlotte wore a specially designed dress that matched her mother’s attire, created by the team at Alexander McQueen.
