Princess Charlotte was seen conversing with her great-aunt Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, during the Trooping the Colour ceremony.

The event, which honours King Charles’ official birthday, saw the young princess attend alongside Prince George and Prince Louis.

As the trio watched the service from Horse Guards Parade, Princess Charlotte reportedly asked her great-aunt, “How long will it be?”

According to lip-reader Jeremy Freeman, who spoke to the Daily Star, the Duchess of Edinburgh answered, “I think it’s now.”

The ceremony involved 400 musicians, 200 horses, and almost 1,400 parading troops gathering in central London.

The monarch participated in the parade on horseback for the first time in 30 years, while Prince William, Prince Edward, and Princess Anne also rode beside him while donning full ceremonial garb.

Princess Charlotte, eight, wore a red and white sailor dress for the event, along with the same 89-pound pair of Papua New Guinea shoes in cream leather she wore at the King’s coronation last month.

Meanwhile, the Duchess of Edinburgh, 58, went to the event dressed in a Bula London Yavi Midi dress and accessorised with a hat.

Sophie has worn this outfit numerous times before, most recently at a Buckingham Palace pre-coronation reception last month.

If royal enthusiasts want to purchase the dress, it retails for £695 and comes in a number of other colours.

The three Wales children were present for the event with their parents, making the royal family fully visible.

Later, senior members of the firm met on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch an RAF fly past that included about 70 aircraft.

Prince Louis’ lively facial expressions and mischievous actions dominated the show, as he stole the spotlight from his siblings.

However, Princess Charlotte appeared to lose patience after the lip-reader disclosed what she asked her great-aunt.
