Princess Anne Wears Elusive Brooch at Commonwealth Day Ceremony
Princess Anne, 72, made a stunning appearance at Monday’s Commonwealth Day ceremony at Westminster Abbey.
The Princess donned a captivating green coat, which she has owned since 2012, and accessorized it with a mysterious brooch.
Although little is known about the accessory, it is believed to be a silver brooch that belonged to the Princess Royal herself.
Renowned royal fashion expert, DagmarMarie77, took to Twitter to praise Princess Anne’s choice of jewelry.
“Our beloved Princess Royal is the epitome of vintage elegance and wearer of enigmatic jewels,” the expert tweeted.

The brooch in question has been spotted on multiple occasions, but its authenticity has never been confirmed.
It is currently referred to as the elusive scroll brooch, crafted from silver and amethyst.
The brooch has drawn comparisons to the works of Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh, much to the delight of royal admirers.
Many believe that if Princess Anne had indeed worn the brooch, it would have been a fitting tribute to Scotland.
Interestingly, the jewel was previously seen on Princess Anne during a service of thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey in October 2021, commemorating the Royal British Legion’s centennial.
This event held added significance as both Queen Elizabeth Ewe and Princess Anne attended, making it a poignant outing for the Princess.
The brooch itself is adorned with a pink sapphire and a purple stone, possibly an amethyst.
However, it is not just the brooch that caught attention.
Princess Anne’s green coat, a repeat ensemble, has a history of its own.
It first made an appearance at the 2012 Cheltenham Festival and was later worn by the Princess to observe the parade for the Afghanistan Operational Service medals in 2013.
In 2016, she chose to wear the same attire on Christmas Day at Sandringham.
The Princess last showcased this remarkable coat at the Cheltenham Festival in 2020, demonstrating her timeless fashion sense.
Despite its age, Princess Anne’s wardrobe continues to captivate fashion enthusiasts.
Twitter user Silver Fox Lover commented, “Her jackets are amazing.

It is evident that Princess Anne possesses a keen eye for selecting tasteful silhouettes and timeless fabrics.
