After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview, Prince William is “struggling to hold back” his side of the story.

Prince William has been silent regarding Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s candid Oprah chat, apart from reminding a journalist that the royals are “very much not a racist family.” But he wants to say more!

After the interview aired, it has been apparent that William is upset with his brother and sister-in-law, who even discussed William’s wife, Kate Middleton, during the interview, according to Fox News.

A source loyal to the Duke of Cambridge says he wants to openly express his side of the story.

The insider added, “The queen is adamant that the royals treat the matter privately.”

“William is struggling to maintain his composure,” the source said. “He wants to get his argument across.”

“William is struggling to hold back,” a source said of William’s willingness to protect the royals against some of Meghan and Harry’s allegations. He needs to bring his point of view across.”

According to the paper, William wants to “first and foremost to defend Kate [Middleton]” after Meghan said Kate made her cry at a bridesmaid fitting before the royal wedding. He also needs to “clarify the racial accusations” concerning Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s admission that the royals showed ethnic “concern” over Archie’s skin colour.

William recently issued a response to his brother and sister-in-law’s allegations, which royal analyst Katie Nicholl defined as “unusual.”

When questioned by reporters immediately after the interview aired, William said emphatically that the royal family is “very much not a racist family.”

And that he had not yet talked to Harry about the interview’s contents at the time.

“The entire family is shocked to hear the full scope of how difficult the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement regarding the interview. The issues posed, particularly the one of race, are troubling. Although certain recollections may differ, they are both taken seriously and will be discussed personally by the relatives. Harry, Meghan, and Archie will all be cherished friends of the family.”

Buckingham Palace statement regarding the interview:

The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan, and Archie will always be much loved family members.
