The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided to stay put in their cosy Adelaide cottage with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

This decision comes after rumors circulated that King Charles III intended to move Prince William’s family to the luxurious Royal Lodge mansion in Windsor, where Prince Andrew currently resides.

According to Royal Insiders, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very happy living in their home in Adelaide and do not want to change it for another place.

The couple previously moved from Kensington Palace in London to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor last September.

The internet has been abuzz with information that King Charles III intends to move his eldest son’s family to the Royal Lodge, which is valued at $38 million.

However, Prince William and Princess Catherine have decided against moving to the large estate due to the additional security costs that would be incurred by taxpayers, as the Royal Lodge is not on the protected grounds of Windsor Castle.

The Adelaide cottage has four bedrooms, while the Royal Lodge mansion has 30 rooms.

Moving to such a large house would require additional security costs on the part of taxpayers.

Earlier, it was reported that Prince Andrew refused to leave the Royal Lodge despite the fact that he could not afford to maintain the mansion.

The news came after it was revealed that King Charles plans to cut the £250,000 grant Andrew received annually from Queen Elizabeth II, which means he will not be able to fund the cost of maintaining the large Windsor home.

The subsidy was used to maintain the 30-room mansion.

Meanwhile, the media reported that despite Andrew’s subsidy cuts, the King has agreed to pay the Duke of York for private unarmed security, estimated at about £3 million a year, after Andrew was stripped of his taxpayer-funded armed police guard this year.

This came after Andrew was forced to resign from his royal duties after a scandal.

It has been reported that King Charles has suggested that the Duke of York move to nearby Frogmore Cottage, which is smaller and correspondingly cheaper.

It was also speculated that Prince William of Wales and his family would move to live at Royal Lodge, which would be more appropriate for the family of the heir to the British throne.

Prince Andrew currently resides in the residence with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.

It was previously reported that the palace had originally set September as the deadline for the former couple to vacate the residence.

However, the palace later agreed that the date was too early.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have refused to move into Prince Andrew’s estate because they believe it may be too expensive for the monarchy in terms of security.

The couple is content with their current living situation and has no plans to move into another home anytime soon.

It follows that Prince Andrew will continue to live at the Royal Lodge for now.

The Duke of York’s finances are probably limited now, given that his business interests have dried up and his navy pension is his main source of income.
