Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, has been in the news lately for his ambitions to interview global figures such as Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump, and Mark Zuckerberg for a proposed Spotify podcast.

The focus of the discussions, as Harry envisaged, would have revolved around their upbringing and childhood traumas.

However, these ideas never came to fruition, and now it has been revealed that Pope Francis has mocked Harry’s podcast idea as a result of a long-term drug overdose.

Over the past week, more details have continued to emerge about Harry’s podcast ambitions.

People with knowledge of the situation spoke to reporters about what ideas the Prince floated and why none of them ever came to fruition.

They requested anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak about his work.

Spotify declined to comment, as did Archival Audio.

Harry spoke with multiple producers and production houses to discuss possible shows.

Along the way, Harry listened to various ideas from others, but mostly stuck by his own, including one about childhood trauma.

Bloomberg reports that Harry also expressed interest in discussing religion with Pope Francis, leaving executives somewhat bewildered.

Pope Francis is reported to feel that Harry’s idea is the result of a long-term drug overdose.

The current Harry is probably not awake to know that the whole world is viewing him as a clown from the royal family.

This is a major blow to Harry’s ambitions, as he had hoped to use his platform to delve into the formative years of high-profile figures to understand their journey to the influential positions they hold today.

While chatting with Prince Harry during a 90-minute Zoom event, Gabor Matei, MD, a Canadian therapist and author, announced that, having read the Duke of Sussex’s autobiography, he was diagnosed with ADHD.

Matei went on to diagnose the prince with numerous other disorders, including anxiety, panic disorder, depression, PTSD, and substance abuse.

This disclosure has come on the heels of news that the Duke and his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, have seen their multi-million Spotify deal cancelled.

In a joint statement released last Thursday, Spotify and the Sussex’s audio production company Archival Audio announced that they had mutually agreed to part ways.

Simmons had previously criticized Harry in January 2023, saying he was so embarrassed to be on Spotify with him.

Simmons has now joined the upper ranks of hairy commentators, to the point that paparazzi at the Daily Mail are snapping photos of him walking in a parking garage.

The difficulty of nailing down a workable idea and actually recording a show over nearly three years of a production deal speaks to the broader reckoning around the celebrity-driven content.

Spotify wasted their $18 million for the Sussex’s.

Clearly in retrospect, many of these vastly expensive deals that never resulted in much of anything haven’t really been doing anything for the Spotify company, and they shouldn’t have been made in the first place.

But the money was spent, and as cost-cutting measures continue to spread through the podcast industry, the ramifications of these misspendings are for everybody else and aren’t entirely over just yet.

Just ask the many regular producers, editors, and engineers who continue to lose their jobs.

There’s also the rumor that Harry called his dad and begged to return to the UK after two traders found no way to earn their money.

There’s no doubt he wishes to avoid Harry and Meghan until he sees some positive change on their end, Charles France said in an interview.

In conclusion, Prince Harry’s ambitions to host a podcast have been met with ridicule and criticism from Pope Francis, who believes that Harry’s ideas are the result of a long-term drug overdose.
