Prince George’s Future Education: A Decision That Will Define the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are currently attending Lambourgh School, located near Adelaide Cottage, where their parents have nurtured them.
However, as Prince George approaches his tenth birthday in July, Prince William and Princess Kate find themselves facing a crucial decision regarding their children’s education.
The royal family has a longstanding tradition of sending its members to boarding schools for their secondary education, a practice that some view as a melancholic inevitability.
Following in the footsteps of previous royals such as King Charles, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward, both William and Kate attended boarding schools, namely Eton and Marlborough College.
In a recent outing, the Prince and Princess of Wales were spotted showing Prince George around Eton, indicating that he may continue this family tradition.

Jenny Bond, a former royal correspondent for the BBC, believes that the choice of school for the children will reveal much about William and Catherine’s parenting style.
Given their active involvement in their children’s lives thus far, it would be disheartening to witness them sending their little ones off to boarding school.
Personally, I would welcome a decision to keep them as day students at schools close to their home, but considering William and Catherine’s own positive experiences at boarding school, it is likely they will choose to share this upbringing with their offspring.
It remains uncertain where Princess Charlotte will attend secondary school if her brothers, George and Louis, follow in their father’s footsteps and enroll at Eton.
One possibility is St Mary’s School in Ascot, where William’s relative, Lady Louise Windsor, also studied.
Alternatively, they may consider Marlborough College in Wiltshire, Kate’s alma mater, where she excelled academically and was well-liked.
Marlborough College boasts other notable alumni with connections to the royal family, such as Beatrice and Emerald Fennell.
The latter, an Oscar-winning screenwriter and actor who portrayed Queen Camilla in seasons three and four of “The Crown,” adds further prestige to the institution.
Ultimately, the decision regarding the education of their children will shape Prince William and Princess Kate’s legacy as parents.
