In a shocking turn of events, Penguin Random House CEO, Bertelman, has decided to cancel Prince Harry’s lucrative book deal worth $35-$40 million.

The announcement of this publishing contract was made by the royal himself in July 2021.

However, it has now come to light that Harry has been linked to a rival publisher, leading to the cancellation of the deal.

The cancellation comes as a blow to Harry, who had plans to collaborate with Penguin Random House on a four-book deal.

One of the books, titled “Endgame,” written by Omid Skobe, was scheduled to be released soon.

However, its publication has been delayed to include information about the coronation.

Speculation suggests that Harry may have shared exclusive details with Skobe, similar to what was revealed in the book “Finding Freedom.”

This revelation has left Harry’s publisher furious, as it appears he provided valuable information to a competitor.

Penguin Group, a British trade book publisher, is a part of Penguin Random House, which is owned by the German media conglomerate Bertelsmann.

Skobe’s book, “Endgame,” was originally set to be published in August but will now be released on November 21st.

The delay allows for the inclusion of sensational details about Harry’s solo visit to the UK to meet his father, Crown King, during the coronation period.

It seems Skobe, who is considered the Sussex’s preferred royal reporter, has the inside track on this intriguing story.

Skobe, known for co-authoring the book “Finding Freedom” in 2020, which delved into Harry and Meghan’s lives, is believed to have a close relationship with the couple.

The Duchess of Sussex even apologized in the High Court for authorizing a senior aide to brief Skobe and co-author Carolyn Duran for the unofficial biography.

During the High Court proceedings, Prince Harry admitted to knowing Skobe, although he later corrected himself by saying he only knows of him.

As the royal editor of US website Harper’s Bazaar, Skobe is expected to provide unique insights, deep access, and exclusive revelations in his upcoming book.

However, Harry’s actions have now put his book deal in jeopardy.

Just like Meghan, who faced consequences with Spotify, where she was kicked out, Harry may face a similar fate.

Netflix also issued an ultimatum to the Sussexes shortly after these events unfolded.

Now, it is Penguin Random House’s turn to sever ties with the couple.

Once the contract is canceled, Harry and Meghan will lose all the deals they have signed since leaving the British royal family.

This includes the Spotify partnership and other potential ventures.

The backlash against the couple continues, with Spotify executive Bill Simmons, founder of the Ringer podcast network, referring to them as “grifters.”

He expressed doubts about Meghan’s talent and emphasized that fame does not guarantee greatness in any field.

The future looks uncertain for Prince Harry as his actions have betrayed his own publisher.

Only time will tell how this will impact his literary aspirations and the couple’s overall reputation.
