In the midst of a family dispute, Meghan Markle wanted to attend Prince Philip’s funeral to show her support for Harry.

Prince Harry has arrived in the United Kingdom in preparation for his grandfather, Prince Philip’s, burial, which will take place on Saturday at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. Though Harry will be there, Meghan Markle has been informed by her doctor that she is too far along in her pregnancy with her second child, to fly.

“Meghan wishes she could have flown to the UK to support her husband but has been advised not to due to her pregnancy,” a source close to the Duchess of Sussex told E! News.

“She would have put all the family tension aside to be there with Harry,” the source continued, before noting that the couple’s “are still not on amazing terms with the family.”

“Harry wants to make sure Meghan and the baby are healthy and not involved in stressful situations,” according to reports, such as the Queen Elizabeth II’s husband’s very public funeral. This is why, although the Royal couple wishes to make amends with the Royal family, they still want to concentrate on their “new roots in Montecito and the pregnancy.”

Prince Harry is now quarantining at his and Meghan’s marital residence, Frogmore Cottage.

Since no one will be willing to see the funeral from the palace grounds, it will be broadcast to the media. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Duke of Edinburgh’s children and grandchildren will be there.

Just 30 people are permitted to attend Prince Philip’s funeral services at St. George’s Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle this Saturday due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Philip’s family members, including his children and grandchildren, are scheduled to participate, according to a Buckingham Palace spokesperson.

According to Prince Andrew, although many citizens will miss the Duke of Edinburgh, none is as sad as the Queen. The prince told reporters last weekend that his mother is “feeling it probably more than everybody else.”

According to Prince Andrew, “She’s contemplating, is the way I would put it. She described it as having left a huge void in her life, but we, the family, the ones that are closer, are rallying around to make sure we are there to support her .”

On Friday, Buckingham Palace reported that Philip, Queen Elizabeth II’s husband, died “peacefully” at Windsor Castle at the age of 99.

After her father, King George VI, died unexpectedly in 1952, Philip became the queen’s consort, or official companion. During his 73-year marriage to the queen, he was the longest-serving British consort.
