Kate Hudson is engaged to Danny Fujikawa
Actress Kate Hudson has announced her engagement to boyfriend Danny Fujikawa.
The couple shared the news on Hudson’s Instagram page, where they posted a photo of themselves embracing on top of a mountain, with Hudson showing off her engagement ring.
Hudson captioned the photo with the words “Let’s go!”
Fujikawa is the stepbrother of Erin and Sara Foster, who are both well-known personalities in their own right.
Erin Foster commented on Hudson’s Instagram post, saying “Finally we are officially sisters!” Sara Foster, meanwhile, wrote “Whoa. It’s official. Not gonna lie, been a hard secret to keep. I may have slipped and told a few people.”

Hudson and Fujikawa have been dating since December 2016, and welcomed their daughter Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa in 2018.
Hudson revealed in an Instagram post commemorating their first anniversary that she and Fujikawa first met through Erin and Sara Foster.
Hudson wrote “The first time I met Danny I was 23 and enormously pregnant with [eldest son] Ryder. His stepsisters are my best friends [Sara Foster] and [Erin Foster] and so it goes we have been in the same circle for over a decade!”
Hudson also shared more details about the couple’s first date, which took place on a hike. She wrote “A year ago today Danny took me on a hike and what I thought was just a hike with a family friend turned very quickly into an unexpected first date. No moves were made on this first date. In fact, it took months for him to make a first move! And as a kiss on this bridge would have been nice, the kiss a year later was so much sweeter.”
Hudson concluded her post by expressing her love for Fujikawa, writing “Happy first date anniversary baby. #LoveThisMan #WhatAYear.”
This will be Hudson’s second marriage. She was previously married to rocker Chris Robinson from 2000 until 2007, and the couple have one son together, 17-year-old Ryder Robinson.
Hudson also has a 10-year-old son, Bingham Hawn Bellamy, with ex-fiance Matt Bellamy, whom she split from in 2014.
For Fujikawa, this will be his first marriage. Fujikawa’s father, Ron, was in a relationship with Sara and Erin Foster’s mother, Rebecca Dyer, for 10 years before he passed away in 2012.
The Foster sisters’ father is record producer David Foster, who is currently married to Katharine McPhee.
