Prince Harry is scheduled to visit the United Kingdom for the first time in over a year. Harry and his wife Meghan Markle relocated to California with their son Archie after standing down as senior members of the Royal Family in 2020. According to Deadline, tensions between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Royal Family have risen after Harry and Meghan sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a candid interview that was fraught with damaging allegations, one of which featured at least one member of the Royal Family questioning Archie’s skin tone before he was born.

Prince Philip, Harry’s grandfather, died only a month after the interview broadcast. At the age of 99, the Duke of Edinburgh died on April 9, 2021. Harry is expected to attend his grandfather’s funeral, according to Entertainment Tonight. Meghan is pregnant with the couple’s second child and “did not obtain medical permission from her doctors” to fly. Harry will be flying alone. Many people are asking if the United Kingdom would receive Harry back now that tensions are running heavy.

Prince Harry might be in for a shock.

Despite the fact that Prince Harry is returning to his home on a tragic event, it seems that certain people will not be setting their feelings towards him aside for Prince Philip’s sake.

Brexit chief Nigel Farage, for example, took to Twitter to express his thoughts about Harry’s return to the UK — and they weren’t entirely friendly. “For a couple that do public emotion as a career, this third person and one sentence statement shows their contempt for this great man and the monarchy. The British public will not welcome Harry and Meghan back, even for the funeral ” In response to a Sky News story regarding Harry and Meghan Markle’s announcement after Philip’s death, he tweeted.

However, reactions to Farage’s tweet are contradictory, with some arguing he should take a break and some agreeing with him. The bulk of remarks, on the other hand, tend to be in Harry’s favor at this difficult period. Regardless of popular opinion, Harry’s journey cannot be simple for him for many causes, and all eyes will be on him when he meets his family face to face.

The Sussex spin machine was in full swing as the exiled Prince headed for his first transatlantic flight in 13 months, with reports claiming he was “united in grief” with the rest of the Royal family after the death of the Duke of Edinburgh, and the couple’s unofficial spokesperson Omid Scobie stressing – should anybody be in any doubt – that “Harry was incredibly close to Philip.”

Members of the Royal family have attempted to de-escalate tensions ahead of what is expected to be a tense reunion for the House of Windsor, with a palace source claiming that the Prince of Wales was especially excited to see his youngest son. They noted that it had been more than a year since they had seen each other.

The couple’s interview with Oprah Winfrey last month, in which they accused an unidentified family member of asking for Archie’s skin tone and criticized “The Firm” for a lack of funding, left the Royal family in a state of shock.

The Sussexes’ Archewell website released a post on Friday in response to Duke’s passing, which did little to improve the delicate crisis.

“In loving memory of His Royal Highness, the Duke of Edinburgh, 1921-2021. Thank you for your service… you will be greatly missed ,” the brevity of the post – as well as the misjudged timing – caused suspicions behind the palace walls.

“There’s a natural order here,” one royal source said, “and they just ignored it by putting their own statement out, without telling anyone, before the Prince of Wales had even issued a response.” Many people read it and wondered, “Is that all they’ve got to say?”

Despite the family’s dissatisfaction with recent developments, there is a real feeling that they wish to use the death of their longtime leader as a catalyst for reconciliation. It comes after former Prime Minister Sir John Major said on the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show on Sunday that “the friction that we are told has arisen is a friction better ended as speedily as possible.”

“The funeral will be a unifying moment because it’s about the loss of a beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather,” one royal source said.

“And on top of all that, there’s a real, clear-eyed focus on support for the Queen. It’s all about HM right now. That’s the universal feeling right across all branches of the family.”

“They know the world will be watching,” as another called it. “There will be no outward signs of any tensions whatsoever. The entire focus will be on the Queen, no exceptions. A family unified.”

Some also speculated that because the funeral procession and service will be televised live from Windsor Castle, the Royal family would be able to cover their feelings better as they will be wearing facemasks within in compliance with coronavirus guidelines.

Little is likely to be seen when the royals move in silence behind the Duke of Edinburgh’s coffin, which will be carried from the State Entrance to St George’s Chapel in a specially modified Land Rover hearse.
