Elliot Page is ready for the summer, and he appears to be happier than ever.

The “Umbrella Academy” star, 34, shared a shirtless selfie of himself swimming in men’s swim trunks on Instagram on Monday. Page’s shirtless selfie is the first he’s released after disclosing he had top surgery, which involves removing one’s breast tissue.

A muscular Page is featured in the photo sporting a ball hat, sunglasses, and a maroon swimming suit, the latter of which is alluded to in the caption: “Trans bb’s first swim trunks.”

Page’s post was accompanied by the hashtags “#transjoy” and “transisbeautiful.”

Celebs were eager to express their admiration in the comments section. Ilana Glazer wrote, “Look a dat handsome boi.” Miley Cyrus commented, “Hot” with a heart emoji.

“You look amazing,” Nina Dobrev commented, adding, “And most of all happy.”

“Dude I see why you crushed me on that workout!” Justin Cornwell, Page’s co-star, said.

Many followers remarked on how happy Page appeared in the new photo, with one writing, “LOOK AT THAT SMILE. WE LOVE YOU.”

Within two hours of being posted, the photo had received over 1.2 million likes.

In December, the “Juno” and “X-Men: Days of Future Past” star revealed that he is transgender and told fans that he/they were their preferred pronouns.

Since then, the actor has spoken candidly about what it’s like to “fully become” himself.

Page expressed “true excitement and deep gratitude to have made it to this point in my life” in an interview with TIME magazine in March. However, he said that his delight was tempered with “fear and anxiety” about how trans people are treated.

“What I was anticipating was a lot of support and love and a massive amount of hatred and transphobia,” he said. “That’s essentially what happened.”

Page recently explained to Oprah Winfrey why he had been open about disclosing details about his health with TIME.

“I wanted to talk about it for a couple of reasons,” Page explained to the late-night talk show host. “I wanted to share with people just how much it has changed my life. And I want people to know that not only has it been life changing for me, I do believe it is life saving and it’s the case for so many people… and because there is such an attack on trans health care right now, when already there is such a lack of access or trans people who don’t even want to go to the doctor. What you are hearing from certain lawmakers are actual complete and utter — they’re lies.”

“The reality of health care is that it is supported by medical institutions and saves lives,” Page continued. “If you are going to do this and if you are also not going to allow trans kids to play sports, children will die and it really is that simple.”

When asked what brings him the greatest joy these days, Page replied, “getting out of the shower and the towel’s around your waist and you’re looking at yourself in the mirror and you’re just like: There. I. Am. I’m not having the moment where I’m panicked… It’s being able to touch my chest and feel comfortable in my body for probably the first time.”
