Women Vision Award: Meghan Markle Pushes Mother Forward After Heckling Incident
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry graced the Miss Foundation’s Women of Vision Award ceremony, celebrating generations of progress and power, at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City on Tuesday evening.
The event took an unexpected turn when Meghan was heckled, prompting her to aggressively push her mother, Doria Ragland, forward for support.
Doria, 66, accompanied the couple, looking stunning in a black midi dress.
The outfit featured a deep v-neck, sheer balloon sleeves, and ended just above her knees.
Completing her ensemble, she appeared to be wearing the Duchess of Sussex Tabitha Simmons Millie slingback pumps in black suede.

These shoes were last seen on Meghan during her royal tour in October 2018 when she met the president of Fiji.
Crafted in Italy from black suede, these pumps boast a 3.5-inch silhouette heel, a pointe toe silhouette, bow embellishment, and a slingback heel.
The original price tag of $695 translates to approximately £557 in British sterling.
Doria accessorized her look with gold earrings and a gold pendant necklace, mirroring her daughter’s beautiful strapless gold dress by Johanna Oretz.
The coordinated outfits were seen as a display of solidarity between the mother-daughter duo.
Social media users praised Doria’s appearance, with one Twitter account commenting, “Doria looks fantastic.
I love everything about her look tonight.
They could be sisters.”
Another user, Jen, added, “Mama Doria looks flawless,” while a royal fan named Magali Mathias exclaimed, “Doria Ragland is radiant.
I love how she styled her dreadlocks.”
Speculation arose among royal fans that Meghan may have paid for Doria’s attendance at the event.
Some suggested that Meghan uses her mother’s presence to highlight her black heritage, while Doria benefits from these experiences with little consequence.
However, the evening took a sour turn when Meghan faced a nasty jab from a heckler.
As she stepped out of the car, a man with a British accent shouted, “Meghan, how do you feel about being part of two broken families?”
The comment appeared to target Meghan’s relationship with her estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr., and the royal family.
In response to the heckling, Meghan immediately grabbed onto her mother for support.
Video footage circulating on social media shows Meghan pulling her mom forward and then positioning herself between Doria and Harry, shielding her loved ones from further confrontation.
The incident highlighted the challenges Meghan faces as a public figure, with constant scrutiny and criticism surrounding her personal life.
