In a shocking turn of events, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has been caught stealing a £50,000 asset from Frogmore Cottage while vacating the property.

Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan have officially left Frogmore Cottage on the King Charles Windsor Estate.

Sir Michael Stevens, Keeper of the Privy Purse, stated, “We can confirm that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have vacated Frogmore Cottage.”

The couple has also repaid the expenses incurred by the Sovereign Grant for the renovation of the cottage, leaving the Crown with a significantly improved asset.

The eviction notice reportedly came after King Charles was displeased with Harry’s memoir, “Spare.”

Following this, Prince Harry and Meghan were forced to remove all their belongings from the five-bedroom, four-bathroom, grade-two listed house and arrange for their shipment to their property in Santa Barbara.

However, there is one valuable item that the couple had to leave behind.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent only six months at Frogmore Cottage before announcing their departure from the Royal family and the UK.

Prior to their exit, they invested £2.4 million in renovating the cottage into a four-bedroom nursery for the arrival of their son, Archie.

According to The Sun, the renovations included the installation of an eco-boiler, a high-tech and planet-friendly equipment that provides endless hot water and low-carbon heat.

This eco-boiler alone is estimated to have cost up to £50,000.

In their Netflix documentary, Harry and Meghan shared glimpses of the interior of Frogmore Cottage for the first time.

Viewers saw Meghan painting her nails in the kitchen and the couple sharing a kiss while she perched on a kitchen worktop.

These personal photographs inside a Royal property were unprecedented.

The last time Prince Harry and Meghan stayed at Frogmore Cottage together was during the summer of 2022, when they celebrated their daughter Lilibet’s first birthday and participated in the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

According to recent reports, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are officially out of Frogmore Cottage.

The couple has repaid all expenses incurred by the Sovereign Grant, as confirmed by Michael Stevens in a recent briefing.

Their belongings have been shipped to their mansion in California.

It has been almost five months since a spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archwell Foundation revealed that the couple had been asked to leave the residence.

Frogmore Cottage held significant sentimental value for Prince Harry and Meghan as it was their first family home.

They moved to this larger space from their two-bedroom Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace in London before the birth of their son, Archie, in May 2019.

Extensive renovations were carried out, costing around $3 million.

After stepping back from their Royal roles, the couple took responsibility for repaying and covering the taxpayer-funded Frogmore renovation.

Initially, the renovation was supported by the Sovereign Grant, which is funded by taxpayers and allocated for Royal purposes.

While Harry, Meghan, and Archie settled in Montecito in the summer of 2020, where their daughter Lilibet was born, Frogmore Cottage continued to serve as their base during visits to the UK.

However, another young Royal family, Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, moved into the cottage full-time in 2021.

A source stated, “Frogmore Cottage continues to be the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s residence in the UK, and they are delighted to be able to open up their home to Princess Eugenie and Jack as they start their new family.”

Despite this, the recent incident involving Meghan’s theft has cast a shadow over their departure from Frogmore Cottage, leaving many wondering about the true extent of their departure from the Royal family.
