The Queen ‘gives favourite grandchild rare privilege’ during Balmoral visit
During a visit to Balmoral, the Queen gave her “favourite” grandchild, Lady Louise Windsor, access to a rare collection of Scottish Highlands sketches.
The young royal is the daughter of Sophie, Countess of Wessex, 56, and Prince Edward, 57, who have stepped up to support the Queen since Prince Philip’s death in April.
She is Her Majesty’s youngest granddaughter.
It is Lady Louise’s artistic talent that has allowed her to get access to priceless family treasures stored in Balmoral.
Queen Elizabeth, 95, is said to have dug out Queen Victoria’s personal drawing collection for her 17-year-old granddaughter to see.

“Because of her obvious artistic skill, the Queen allowed Louise to look through some of the collection of Queen Victoria’s Highlands sketches which are kept at Balmoral but are rarely dug out these days,” a source previously told the Sun.
Every year, The Queen’s youngest granddaughter spends her summers at Balmoral, Scotland, with her extended family.
While in the Scottish retreat, Louise is said to have sought to pass on her skills to some of the younger family members.
The source added: “The Queen loves the fact that Louise and James [Louise’s younger brother] relish their time at Balmoral, and she has become particularly close to Louise, who seems to have become her favourite grandchild, closely followed by James.
“Louise also endeared herself to everyone by looking after William and Kate’s children when they were up here.
“Louise loves drawing and sketching and was very patiently trying to get Charlotte to do pictures of rabbits and deer.”
Lady Louise is the Queen’s seventh-born grandchild and the 15th in line to the throne of the United Kingdom.
Lady Louise is very patient with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Louise, like many other teenagers around the country, would have got her AS-level results earlier this month.
She goes to a private school in Ascot and is studying for her AS-levels this year, which are the first year of an A-level exam.
Lady Louise will be free to determine if she wants to adopt the title of HRH Princess Louise after she is 18 years old, according to royal protocol.
She’s also an accomplished equestrian, much like her grandmother, The Queen.
She has been studying AS-Levels in English, history, politics, and drama, according to Hello!
When Louise returns to school in September, she plans to complete all of her A-levels, despite the fact that most students drop one subject after the first year.
She has competed in many carriage driving competitions throughout the years, and this summer she offered a particular homage to her grandfather, who passed away.
