Taylor Swift reportedly declined an invitation to appear on Meghan Markle’s Archetypes podcast via a representative, despite receiving a personal letter from the Duchess of Sussex herself.

The podcast, which was cancelled, saw Meghan joined by various guests, including Serena Williams, Paris Hilton, Jameela Jamil, and Andy Cohen as they investigated, dissected, and sabotaged labels trying to reign in women.

According to The Telegraph, Meghan wrote a personal letter to Taylor, asking her to feature on the original Archetypes, but the singer declined through a representative.

This news comes after Spotify and the Sussex released a statement announcing their decision to part ways.

Meghan and Harry’s Archewell Audio signed an exclusive $20 million deal with Spotify in 2020 as they try to become financially independent after separating from the royal family.

Meghan hosted the original podcast, which ran for 12 episodes as of August last year.

However, after the acts, a senior Spotify executive slammed Harry and Meghan as grifters.

They faced yet another disappointment earlier this week as their application to trademark the name Archetypes was rejected.

The couple applied for exclusive rights to Archetypes, the name of their podcast, for downloadable audio recordings, podcasts, and anything related to the cultural treatment of women and the stereotypes they face.

However, officials denied the application due to potential confusion with an existing trademark.

Meghan and Harry’s solicitor, Madjuri Witter-Norman, has now applied for an additional three months to prepare another application.

Taylor Swift’s refusal to appear on the podcast is a blow to Meghan and Harry’s efforts to make a successful podcast.

The Archetypes podcast was supposed to be a platform for women to discuss and challenge the societal norms that limit them.

It aimed to create a space for women to share their experiences and inspire others to break free from labels and stereotypes.

However, the podcast’s cancellation and the rejection of their trademark application have left the couple facing yet another setback.

Despite this, Meghan and Harry remain determined to make a positive impact through their various projects, including their Archewell foundation.

It is unclear why Taylor Swift declined the invitation to appear on the podcast.
