Royal News: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Car Chase Story Met with Mockery
A car chase that was meant to raise sympathy for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has instead become a public relations nightmare.
Friends of the British Royal Family have reportedly been mocking the couple’s claim that they were caught up in a near-catastrophic car chase on Tuesday night.
According to a spokesperson, the couple was relentlessly pursued by aggressive paparazzi after leaving the Women of Vision Awards in Manhattan.
The chase allegedly lasted for over two hours and involved multiple near collisions.
However, since then, several public figures, including NYC Mayor Eric Adams, have cast doubt on the dramatic story.

Even the hosts of The View criticized the couple for their misleading statement, with Whoopi Goldberg stating that it would damage their credibility.
The backlash has been severe, especially among friends of the Royal Family.
One friend of Prince William’s mocked the Sussexes in an interview with the Daily Beast, saying, “I thought they were leaving the Royal Family for a quieter life.
If flashbulbs give Harry flashbacks, I don’t understand why he is going to award ceremonies.”
The friend added that Prince William and Catherine have faced similar situations in the past but handled them differently.
Another friend, speaking on behalf of King Charles, acknowledged that being pursued by paparazzi can be scary but emphasized that complaining about the media is futile and only exacerbates the situation.
Public relations experts have also weighed in on the matter, calling it a disaster for the Duke and Duchess.
They believe that Harry’s decision to speak out without consulting anyone may have overshadowed Meghan’s recent accomplishments.
One expert remarked, “This is what happens when people do their own PR.”
In the days following the couple’s statement, public figures have openly mocked their claims.
Whoopi Goldberg, during a segment on The View, criticized the use of the word “chase” and questioned the credibility of the story.
She humorously added, “If it was possible to have car chases in New York, we’d all make it to the theater on time.”
Co-host Sarah Haines also called out the couple for using misleading terms, while Alyssa Farrah Griffin described their statement as a “pastor failure.”
Piers Morgan, Megyn Kelly, and Caitlyn Jenner have also ridiculed the Sussexes’ account of the car chase.
The public’s response to this news has been mixed.
Some sympathize with Harry and Meghan, acknowledging the intrusive nature of the paparazzi.
Others, however, view their claims as exaggerated and question their motives for speaking out.
