Hollywood actor Rob Lowe, who has been living in Montecito, California for the past 26 years and counts Oprah Winfrey as his neighbor, seems to have some strong opinions about Meghan Markle.

In the third episode of his new show, “Unstable” on Netflix, Lowe subtly criticizes the Duchess of Sussex.

The episode concludes with Alison Davis capturing a peculiar image that exposes the extent of the chaos, setting the stage for the next episode where Ellis Dragon and his team must handle a viral Time magazine cover.

Rumors have been circulating that Meghan Markle’s complaints about her portrayal in The Cut interview have led to the journalist responsible for the article being placed on unpaid leave.

The piece, written by Alison P. Davis, explores Meghan’s life in Montecito, California and includes veiled references to her time as a senior royal.

It is alleged that Meghan’s unhappiness with the article has resulted in the writer being forced into an unpaid hiatus.

In an interview with E!

News, Lowe openly discussed the changes he has observed since the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

He remarked, “They definitely have brought a lot of attention to my sleepy little town.

Let me tell you something, once the royals move into your neighborhood, the neighborhood is never going to be the same again.”

Despite living in close proximity, Lowe claims to have only seen Prince Harry once, stating, “I saw Harry once driving when Oprah moved there, and that began the sort of resurgence of Montecito.

Now that the royals are here, the good news is property values have gone up.

The bad news is the line is longer at Starbucks.”

Lowe’s claims were later investigated by a reporter from Insider, who spoke to a Starbucks barista.

The barista explained that due to COVID, there has been an increase in mobile orders, which has resulted in longer lines.

Furthermore, when asked if Lowe was a regular customer, the barista responded, “I’ve never seen Rob Lowe.”

Regarding rumors that Harry and Meghan filmed their interview with Oprah at his house, Lowe found it amusing that people assumed it was shot at his residence.

He stated, “It’s so funny, everyone thinks the interview is shot at my house, and then my friend Ted Sarandos, who runs Netflix, everyone thought they shot it at his house.

Here’s my thing, and I have no idea.

I think they just play an old shot at Oprah’s.

I swear to you, and they just said it was a mystery location.”

Support for Lowe’s sentiments can also be seen in the Daily Mail’s publication of a story about Harry returning to California from London.

In the comments section, a Santa Barbara resident claimed that Harry and Meghan’s presence in Montecito is not welcomed by their neighbors.

The individual expressed, “Well, against everyone’s wishes, he returned back here.

It’s not like she’s on bed rest, she’s been walking the lower village since the pregnancy, and the mother has the first child wandering around, waiting to be spotted at the honor bar.

She and Harry walked by, and a group of people having brunch yelled, ‘Go home.’

Had to chuckle, she looked ridiculous.

Our town is comprised of old Hollywood, not newbies like Oprah Allen.

Their annoyances simply prove that money can’t buy class.

The paparazzi from these bumbling fools have caused havoc in town.

Can’t even go for a simple bike ride, ego got in their way.

And they aren’t welcome here and clearly, from the other posts, they aren’t welcome back in the UK either.

It’s an utter shame to disrespect a woman who spent her entire life in service, a service that she never asked for and just lost the love of her life.

Hashtag, leave Montecito.”

As Prince Harry and Meghan continue to release more controversial material in their Netflix series, they are raising eyebrows throughout the neighborhood.

Their presence in Montecito has undoubtedly brought attention and changes to the community, with opinions on their impact being divided among residents.
