Reese Witherspoon Declines Meghan Markle’s Podcast Invitation, Sparks Speculation
Reese Witherspoon reportedly turned down Meghan Markle’s request to appear as a guest on the podcast Archetypes.
According to New Idea, Markle was disappointed with Witherspoon’s decision, as she had hoped to have the “Big Little Lies” star on board.
It is rumored that Markle initially wanted Witherspoon to be part of an episode exploring the bimbo trope, given her iconic role in “Legally Blonde.”
However, the source claims that Markle ultimately went with Paris Hilton instead.
The source further reveals that Markle has been eager to collaborate with Witherspoon because she admires her immensely.

Interestingly, the source suggests that Witherspoon’s hesitance to work with Markle might be connected to Catherine, Princess of Wales.

It is likely that Witherspoon would not appreciate Markle’s public comments about a rift with Catherine, prompting her to keep her distance.
Catherine, known for her glamour, formed a bond with Witherspoon during her first royal tour with Prince William in 2011.
In photographs from that day, Witherspoon appeared starstruck as she engaged in conversation with the newlywed Duchess.
Reflecting on their meeting at the release of her book “Whiskey in a Teacup” in 2018, Witherspoon admitted to being completely captivated by Catherine’s presence.

The trio engaged in a discussion about the angry black woman stereotype.
However, prior to this episode, Meghan faced criticism for her conversation with Paris Hilton, where they delved into the labels of “bimbo” and “dumb blonde.”
American columnist Kat Timpf slammed Meghan for her comments and urged her to have a more positive outlook on life.
