Netflix viewers have been left shocked by the latest release of the Bridgerton franchise, as the first spin-off series titled Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story hit the platform.

Fans were ecstatic to see the return of the ‘Ton’ to their screens and to once again be transported to Regency-era England with its stunning sets and gorgeous gowns.

However, as expected, the series also featured some of the X-rated s** scenes and n^dty that the original show was famous for.

The prequel series follows the story of a young Charlotte (played by India Amarteifio) who enters into an arranged marriage with King George (played by Corey Mylchreest).

Although they start off as strangers, they must find a way to make their union work for the good of the kingdom.

Meanwhile, Lady Danbury (played by Adjoa Andoh), known for her sharp critiques and cutting quips, is trapped in a loveless marriage to Lord Danbury (played by Cyril Nri), a man much older than herself.

The new series shows more of the character’s backstory, with a young version of Lady Danbury (played by Arsema Thomas) making an appearance.

However, it was not all s** scenes and beautiful costumes in the new series.

In episode three, there was a shocking scene where Agatha, Lady Danbury’s daughter, does not enjoy the act performed from behind by her husband, before he suddenly stops.

She asks him if he has finished, not realizing that he had died mid-deed.

This scene has left viewers stunned and taken aback by its unexpectedness.

The original Bridgerton series, based on Julia Quinn’s novels, became the most-watched show in Netflix history, with fans eagerly waiting for the next instalment.

However, some fans had been disappointed that the second series did not feature as much racy content as the first, which launched the careers of Rege-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor.

Nevertheless, Netflix has announced the renewal of two further seasons, with the next instalment set to focus on the characters of Penelope Featherington (played by Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (played by Luke Newton).

Overall, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story has not disappointed fans, with its beautiful sets, gorgeous costumes, and intriguing storyline.

While some may be shocked by the graphic content, others are thrilled to see the continuation of the series and eagerly await the next chapter.
