Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s deep connection to Princess Diana has been well-documented over the years.
In a recent book, titled “Spare,” Prince Harry shared a touching moment that took place in August 2017, on the 20th anniversary of his mother’s death.
The Duke of Sussex recounted a visit to Princess Diana’s burial site at Elthorpe, the Spencer family estate located on a small island in the middle of Lake Oval.
Accompanied by Meghan, Prince Harry was thrilled to bring his beloved wife to this iconic place.
He described it as finally introducing “the girl of my dreams” to his mother.
During their visit, Prince Harry laid flowers at the grave and then took a moment for himself to reflect.

It was during this time that he noticed Meghan kneeling before the grave, her eyes closed and her palms pressed against the stone.
She was praying, seeking clarity and guidance from Princess Diana.
Prince Harry has often spoken about how much Meghan reminds him of his late mother.
He sees in her the same compassion, empathy, confidence, and warmth that he saw in Diana.
This similarity has always pleased the prince, as he believes it shows Meghan’s respectful attitude towards the spirit of Diana.
Interestingly, Prince William also feels a strong connection to their mother.
In a private conversation with Prince Harry, he revealed that he considers Diana his guardian angel.
William believes that Diana guides him through life and has helped him start a family of his own.
He assured Harry of his support and understanding, acknowledging that their mother played a role in helping him find Meghan.
However, Prince Harry sensed a hint of disapproval from his older brother.
It seemed that William was implying that Diana would not have approved of Meghan as a choice for her younger son.
This revelation raises the question: Would Diana have liked Meghan Markle?
The answer to this question remains speculative, as we can never truly know what Princess Diana’s thoughts and feelings would have been.
