Prince George and his grandfather, King Charles, have a charming connection to Romania.

It has recently come to light that they both own land close to each other in the Eastern European country.

Count Iber Calnicke, a close friend of the monarch, gifted George with a wildflower meadow for his christening.

This meadow is just an hour’s drive away from the king’s farmhouse in the village of Viscri.

Count Iber explained that instead of sending flowers, he chose to give a symbolic gift that would protect the area and raise public awareness for the preservation of rare plants.

Although George received the meadow back in 2013, he has not had the opportunity to visit Romania yet.

In contrast, King Charles fell in love with the country during his visit in 1998 and often spends walking holidays in the Romanian countryside.

He purchased a farmhouse in the village of Viscri in 2006.

This month, it was confirmed that Charles would be taking his first official trip as king to his beloved retreat in Romania.

When the king is not staying at his farmhouse, known as the Blue House, it is rented out to the public.

The Blue House features seven double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a drawing and dining room, a sitting room, and a kitchen.

The property exudes a rustic charm with its high ceilings, vintage Transylvanian furniture, and the absence of televisions or radios, creating an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

Queen Camilla, however, will not be accompanying Charles on this trip.

She will be staying at her home, Ray Mill, in Wiltshire.

The couple recently made a surprise two-day visit to Northern Ireland, where Charles’ choice of sunglasses earned him the nickname “royal rock star.”

During their visit, they spent an hour at Inisgallan Castle Assembly Neighborhood Companies, enjoying performances by Irish and Ulster Scots dancers.

Twitter users expressed their admiration for the king’s sunglasses, with one person even calling him “King Cool.”

It was announced that King Charles plans to visit the Romanian countryside next month, where he will spend time at his farmhouse in the village of Viscri.

During his visit, he may also have the chance to visit the wildflower meadow owned by his grandson, Prince George.

The meadow was a christening gift from Count Tiber Kalnicki, a close friend of the monarch.

Count Tiber explained that the symbolic gift of wildflowers aims to protect the area and raise awareness for the preservation of rare plants.

Although George received the gift in 2013, he has not yet been able to visit Romania and see the beautiful wildflowers himself.

However, with the young royal about to go on his half-term break, there is a possibility that his parents will take him to the meadow during his week off.

The meadow was not the only touching gift George received for his christening.

His aunt, Pippa Middleton, is believed to have visited Wrightson and Platt, a company that creates silver casts of a baby’s hands and feet, engraved with their name and date of birth, as a bespoke present for George.

King Charles usually spends a few days each year in Romania, and during his absence, the guest house at his farmhouse is rented out to the public.

Known as the Blue House, it offers seven double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a drawing and dining room, a sitting room, and a kitchen.

The property gets its name from the striking blue color of the building.

It maintains a rustic aesthetic with high ceilings and whitewashed walls.

The bedrooms are furnished with vintage Transylvanian furniture, and according to the guest house’s website, there are no televisions or radios to ensure a peaceful and tranquil environment.
