Before officially becoming a member of the royal family, Meghan Markle made significant efforts to study the traditions of the Windsors and the rules of etiquette.

However, it seems that even with the help of a team of 14 employees, she was unable to fit in with the rest of the family.

According to a royal biographer, Queen Elizabeth sent her assistant, Samantha Cohen, to help Meghan adapt to her new role.

Cohen had worked at the palace since 2001 and rose through the ranks to become assistant private secretary to the sovereign.

She served on Harry and Meghan’s team as personal secretary and held the position for 18 months, resigning in October 2019.

Around the same time that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reconsidering their roles in the royal family, it was Cohen who organized the training of the prince’s wife, which was designed for six months.

Another member of Meghan’s team was Jason Nelf, who accused Markle of intimidating employees.

This accusation led to a Buckingham Palace inspection, but its results were never announced to the general public.

In addition to the main team, Meghan was also helped by Lady Susan Hussey, Elizabeth II’s most devoted lady-in-waiting, her longtime friend, and one of William’s godmothers.

By the way, Hussey also helped Princess Diana adapt at court.

Despite their best efforts, the Sussex couple never managed to overcome their differences with the rest of the family.

They refused to perform royal duties and moved first to Canada and then to the USA.

The employees assigned to help Meghan found new positions.

Jason Nelf, for example, has worked with other Windsors.
