Rumours have been circulating that Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, was going to sign a deal with French fashion house, Dior.

However, sources at the brand have denied these claims.

The team in Paris is said to be nonplussed as to how this story came about and have denied any imminent deal with the former actress.

A royal covering, tennis-loving Instagrammer, who prefers not to be named directly, has stated in her Instagram stories that one of her highly reliable sources, which do seem to be generally reliable, claims that Meghan embodies everything Delphine Arnault, CEO of Dior, detests in a person.

It seems that Delphine’s aesthetic is more in line with Kate rather than Meghan.

Meghan may have been hurt seeing new images on Emma Watson’s Instagram two days ago, as she partnered with Prada Beauty to model these looks on her Instagram.

It’s surprising to see these photos so casually posted and receiving favourable press without much effort.

Meghan has always had an intense desire to emulate Emma Watson in terms of her fame and position as a well-known advocate for women’s rights.

Biographer Tom Bauer claims that Meghan Markle was mortified when Emma Watson turned down her request to meet after a speech on gender equality in 2015.

She went on to gloss over the rebuff in a blog.

During a trip to London, Meghan attended a small meeting addressed by Emma Watson, her hero and role model.

At the end, she asked to meet Watson, but the actress rejected the request.

The snub was mortifying.

Watson’s rebuff wasn’t mentioned when Meghan described her UN role and lifestyle blog, The Tig.

Despite not often wearing Prada clothes, Meghan has been seen wearing several different Prada bags over the years, so it’s clearly a brand that she likes.

In 2018, Meghan dressed for the Queen’s Young Leaders Awards ceremony in a blush-toned dress by Prada.

She has also been spotted carrying several different Prada bags over the years, including the sustainable duffel bag from Prada’s Re-nylon initiative, which she was seen carrying in February 2020.

It’s clear that Meghan believed that after Megxit, fashion houses would be rushing up to offer her arrangements similar to these.

However, it seems that Emma Watson was always going to be the more secure choice given her more upright reputation, especially with her 72 million Instagram followers, which is still more than seven times as many as the Sussex Royal.

It’s not surprising that Meghan has a desire to emulate Emma Watson’s fame and position as an advocate for women’s rights.

Meghan has always been vocal about her passion for gender equality and was a UN Women’s Advocate before becoming a member of the Royal Family.

It’s clear that she has a lot of influence and power, which she can use to push brands.

Despite the rumours, it seems that Meghan won’t be signing a deal with Dior anytime soon.

The French fashion house has denied any imminent deal with the Duchess of Sussex, leaving the team in Paris nonplussed as to how this story came about.

In conclusion, it’s clear that Meghan has a passion for fashion and has been spotted wearing several different Prada bags over the years.

However, it seems that Emma Watson was always going to be the more secure choice for fashion houses looking for a celebrity endorsement.

Despite this setback, Meghan has a lot of influence and power, which she can use to push brands that align with her beliefs and values.
