Rumors have been circulating that Meghan Markle is set to sign a $20 million deal with Dior to promote their clothes and fragrances.

However, CEO Delphine Arnault has officially denied the rumors, stating that she would destroy the brand if they cooperated.

It seems like the news was just a publicity stunt.

According to the Daily Mail, Markle is still reportedly in talks with the French luxury house to sign a major deal that would rebrand her image.

This comes after Markle and her husband’s popularity took a major hit following their Netflix documentary and Harry’s memoir Spare.

A prominent LA socialite commented on the rumors, saying that if Markle pulls off the deal, no one will remember that her podcast got canceled after one season.

Dior currently has several ambassadors, including actors Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Pattinson, and Natalie Portman.

In mid-May, the fashion house signed a New Zealand $32 million fragrance deal with Johnny Depp.

The news comes after the Duke and Duchess’ £15.5 million podcast deal with Spotify fell through.

One of the streaming giant’s executives labeled the couple as “F-ing Grifters”.

On Friday, Spotify and the Sussex’s Archibald charity released a joint statement announcing that they had mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series they made together.

The Sun suggested that talent agency WME, with whom Markle recently signed, may have advised her not to share intimate details of her life with the public.

A source at WME reportedly told the Daily Mail that they have been working on the rebranding of Meghan for weeks, and that the offers have been pouring in, including from other podcast platforms.

Markle has worn several custom ensembles by Dior for high-profile occasions, including a greyish belted coat dress at the Platinum Jubilee National Service on Thanksgiving in 2022 and a black full-skirted dress for the centenary of the Royal Air Force at Westminster Abbey in 2018.

If the deal with Dior goes through, Markle will join global stars Rihanna and Jennifer Lawrence as the public face of the brand.

It could make her one of the richest stars in Hollywood.

It remains to be seen if the deal will come to fruition, but it is clear that Markle’s team is working hard to reinvent her image and secure lucrative deals.
