The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly facing financial difficulties after their lucrative deal with Spotify was cancelled last week.

According to reports, the couple could also be at risk of losing other ventures, such as their multi-million pound deal with Netflix.

Royal commentator Mary Madigan claims that Prince Harry is relying on Meghan Markle to secure their financial future given his lack of work in the upcoming months.

“Perhaps Harry should consider Uber driving before Meghan is forced to download an app that makes you pay for Instagram filters,” she quipped.

Madigan suggests that the couple may need to become influencers to make ends meet.

“They start pouting, brand endorsing and posting ageless bikini snaps,” she said.

Prince Harry himself has admitted to feeling nervous ahead of meeting Meghan Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland.

In his memoir, Spare, the Duke of Sussex notes how he was ashamed of facing the 67-year-old at dinner.

“It’s always nerve-wracking to meet a girlfriend’s mother, but especially when you’re currently making her daughter’s life hell,” he wrote.

However, the couple’s media empire appears to be imploding.

Last week, their lucrative Spotify deal was taken away after just one season of Meghan’s podcast, Archetypes, aired.

Reports suggest that Netflix could be following in the footsteps of Spotify and may ax their £78 million deal with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Bill Simmons, head of podcast innovation at Netflix, hit out at the couple over the fractured deal, branding them “effing grifters.”

An insider told The Sun, “The feeling is the lemon has been fully squeezed.”

Journalist and author Damian Riley believes that the end is nigh for the couple’s reputation and business plans.

Reports had suggested that they could sign a new fashion deal, though Dior has rebutted rumors of a signing.

“It still feels like the end of the road for their reputation and business plans,” Riley said.

Riley referenced the infamous South Park episode that mocked the Duke and Duchess of Sussex earlier this year, pinpointing a turning point for the couple’s media reputation.

He said the couple had previously been able to write off the endless criticism before they were mercilessly savaged by the coolest kids in Tinseltown.

“It’s hard not to feel a little sympathy for Meghan, not least because it feels like the end of the road, reputationally,” Riley wrote.

“First, she enraged large sections of the public in the UK with her antics, but then she left, seemingly for the promise of being better understood and therefore more free in America.

But history seems to be repeating itself for now increasingly she’s being openly mocked for what is perceived to be the grift, swindle of monetizing and using for social advancement, the supposed honors or horrors of a life of unimaginable royal privilege.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s financial future now hangs in the balance as their media empire crumbles around them.

With their lucrative deals disappearing, the couple may need to find alternative ways to make ends meet.
