The reason behind this investigation is the revelation of misinformation about the royal family by Omid Scobie, who is believed to have planted stories to insult the Duchess of Edinburgh.

According to a Royal Insider, a separate investigation into the defamatory activities of Omid Scobie and Meghan Markle has been initiated.
Scobie has been leaking inaccurate information, leading to suspicions from Prince William, who tested him multiple times to identify the source of the leaks.
On several occasions, Scobie released information earlier than the agreed-upon date set by the royal family.
Rumors have circulated that MI5 has arrested Omid Scobie, resulting in his recent absence from the public eye.
This arrest has also caused a delay in the release of his book, which was originally scheduled for July but has now been pushed back to November.
As Scobie’s release from custody approaches, MI6 reaches out to Meghan Markle, indicating that he may have revealed something related to her.
It seems that Scobie miscalculated the impact of Harry’s Moanwar, a Netflix reality show, and Meghan’s Spot a Lie podcast on the British royal family, hence why he titled his book “Endgame.”
However, he has now realized that the only “Endgame” in town is happening at the Olive Garden mansion, prompting him to make last-minute changes.
In a tweet on June 27th, Omid Scobie announced that his highly anticipated book, “Endgame,” will be available to the public on November 21st, 2023.
He described it as a penetrating investigation into the future of the royal family and expressed his excitement for readers to delve into its contents.
In a recent interview, Scobie, who is often seen as Meghan’s mouthpiece, made some revealing statements about the book.
He highlighted the differential treatment between Kate and Meghan when it comes to employee turnover, failing to acknowledge the allegations of bullying against Meghan made by former staff members.
Scobie also drew an unusual comparison between Meghan’s car chase and the tragic incident involving the Duchess of Edinburgh’s motorcade.
He suggested that the media’s scrutiny of Meghan’s car chase was unwarranted, while the tragic accident involving Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, received less attention.
However, it is important to note that Meghan and Harry were directly involved in orchestrating the staged car chase, which quickly went viral due to its falseness.
On the other hand, Sophie had no control over the unfortunate accident caused by a constable’s recklessness.
