Meghan Markle has decided to halt the release of her controversial Spotify podcast, Archetypes, in light of the mourning period following the Queen’s passing.

The upcoming episode, originally scheduled for Tuesday, has been postponed, with the next broadcast set for September 20th, the day after the Queen’s state funeral at Westminster Abbey in central London.

This delay sets the stage for a potential clash between King Charles III and his estranged son and daughter-in-law, as Meghan was forbidden from being present at the Queen’s deathbed in Balmoral, Scotland.

According to a source, King Charles III has been informed about Meghan’s podcast, and it is speculated that her next episode might be the first interview conducted by any member of the royal family since Queen Elizabeth’s demise.

“It’s the last thing the King needs to be thinking about at this time, but make no mistake, it’s a very serious problem,” the source stated.

The King is adamant that the Duchess of Sussex refrains from discussing any matters related to the family or the solemn occasion surrounding the Queen’s passing.

Another source revealed that King Charles intends to have his aides convince Prince Harry to persuade Meghan to permanently end the podcast.

However, there are concerns that Meghan may not fully comprehend the gravity of the situation.

The insider mentioned, “He knows Meghan is steadfast in her view and believes she and not the family is in control of what she says publicly.”

Nonetheless, the King hopes that Meghan will exercise common sense, politeness, and restraint and refrain from discussing anything pertaining to the Windsor family and his mother’s death.

Yet, as someone close to the podcast cautioned, if Meghan proceeds with her show, it would be difficult for her not to address the events of the past week.

A message on the podcast’s Spotify page stated, “New episodes of Archetypes will be paused during the official mourning period for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.”

So far, Markle has released three episodes featuring guests such as Serena Williams, Mariah Carey, and Mindy Kaling.

Future guests on Archetypes include Margaret Cho, Lisa Ling, Constance Wu, and Ziwei.

On Friday, King Charles III delivered his first address to the nation following the demise of Queen Elizabeth II.

During the speech, he expressed his love for his children, Prince Harry and Prince William, while discussing their new titles.

Lady Colin Campbell, a prominent figure, believes that this speech effectively closes the door on any potential reconciliation between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and the royal family.

She commended the King’s speech, stating, “I thought it was an excellent speech.

He addressed all concerns, both from his detractors and supporters, and made it clear that he intends to remain neutral and inoffensive.”

Lady Colin went on to highlight the King’s approach towards Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, stating, “I thought he was also brilliant in the way he ‘love bombed’ Harry and Meghan and made it absolutely clear that they have no part to play.

And I know they don’t want to have a part to play, but I don’t think there’s much of a way back for them even if they did want to.”

She acknowledged the challenging situation faced by the family and the father’s dilemma of not wanting to completely sever ties with his son.

“The way he handled things was very decorous, delicate but firm.

I was very impressed with the tone of his speech and all of the main bullet points he addressed,” Lady Colin concluded.

As tensions continue to rise within the royal family, the fate of Meghan Markle’s podcast and the potential fallout from its future episodes remain uncertain.
