The Trooping the Colour celebrations on Saturday marked the official birthday of the monarch in Britain, and the event was graced by the royal family.

It included a military parade and an aerial fly-past over London, culminating in an appearance by the royals on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

Among the working members of the royal family present were Prince William, Kate Middleton, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

During the military ceremony at the Horse Guards Parade in St James’ Park, King Charles III and Queen Camilla took the salute while their grandchildren watched.

After the ceremony, the children joined the royals in a carriage procession back to Buckingham Palace and greeted waiting crowds on the balcony.

Eagle-eyed royal fans spotted a touching moment between King Charles and his granddaughter, Princess Charlotte, during the celebrations.

In a brief moment before the fly-past, Charles playfully tickled Charlotte, which was caught on camera and uploaded to TikTok by user, PrincessofWales__Royalty.

The video has since gone viral with over 350,000 views, 25,000 likes, and 100 comments.

Royal watchers were quick to comment on the adorable interaction, with one user writing, “Charles always wanted a daughter.

He loves his grandchildren.”

Another user commented, “King Charles loves all his grandchildren, and the little things he does show how much.”

A third user added, “That is a cute interaction with Charlotte.”

However, Charlotte wasn’t the only royal to capture the attention of fans on the palace balcony that day.

Younger brother Louis reprised his famed role as cheeky prince by chatting away with his parents during the fly-past and offering a salute to the aircraft as they went by.

Kate Middleton, who kept a watchful eye over her three children, won the hearts of fashion fans with her classic 1980s inspired green outfit.

Her dress, with jewelled buttons and silk piping, was designed by Singaporean designer Andrew Gn and paired with an oversized statement hat created by favourite royal milliner Philip Treacy.

To complete her look, Kate wore a pair of green suede high-heeled pumps from the shoe brand Aquazzura, which is a favourite of Meghan Markle’s and now also of Kate’s.

Princess Charlotte debuted a new classically designed dress with red piping, while her brothers appeared in traditional outfits similar to those worn by Prince William and Prince Harry to Trooping the Colour events during their childhoods.

Queen Camilla II made a style impact in a red ensemble designed to pay tribute to the uniforms of the Grenadier Guards, of which she was made Colonel after King Charles’ accession.

The Trooping the Colour event was a memorable day for the royal family and their fans.
