But fans snapped photos and video recordings of the musician, who was sporting a false goatee and moustache as well as an unique curly-haired wig as he stepped out for coffee in the Dutch capital. In the video clip, he asks passers-by, “Does this look real?”

The Canadian singer’s bizarre disguise unfortunately brought even more attention to himself.

Beliebers took full advantage of the situation, snapping photos and videos of the singer on his Magnum, PI day for our watching enjoyment.

The “Sorry” singer completed the not-so-subtle ensemble with a pair of aviator sunglasses. A large tattoo of angel wings on his neck, on the other hand, was a dead giveaway to fans.

The fact that he walked with the obvious swagger of a superstar and possibly drew more attention to himself just because he was dressed in a Groucho Marx-style disguise in the first place. Bieber is also renowned for his pranks, so it’s possible that this was all a set-up for a later piece on Ellen.

The disguise was a disaster on several levels. Given that TMZ released a lengthy video of the disguised Bieber on the street, where people stopped to gaze and chat to him, it also failed on the “unrecognizable” front.

[NC]Next Tuesday (October 11), Bieber kicks off the UK and Ireland leg of his Purpose World Tour with the first of four gigs at The O2 in London. Before traveling to mainland Europe, he’ll perform at several concerts in Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield, Glasgow, and Dublin, before returning to The O2 in London in late November. He previously performed at V Festival in the UK this summer, however not all fans were pleased with his performance.

The pop artist recently revealed that he will bring his global “Purpose” tour to Australia and New Zealand early next year, including stadium shows in both countries.

Another destination for Bieber is Miami, where he will testify in an assault lawsuit against him. Paparazzo Manuel Munoz filed the lawsuit, alleging that one of his bodyguards attacked him while attempting to force him to erase photographs.

Meanwhile, London’s Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum debuted a new replica of Bieber, who is shown performing naked.

Conversely, Thrasher, a skateboarding magazine, has lately chastised pop singers Justin Bieber and Rihanna, as well as actors Ryan Gosling, for wearing their merchandise.

This closed off a tumultuous September for the artist, who received the most MTV European Music Awards nominations (together with Beyoncé) while also reportedly parting from his fiancée Sofia Richie after only six high-profile weeks.
