In a recent turn of events, Hollywood legend Jeremy Zimmer has expressed his lack of surprise regarding Spotify’s decision to end its deal with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Zimmer, the CEO of United Talent Agency, did not hold back in delivering a scathing verdict on Meghan Markle.

This verdict comes shortly after the couple’s multi-million pound deal with Spotify came to an abrupt end, just a few months after their royal exit.

Speaking at the Cannes Lions’ Art Festival in France, Zimmer revealed his thoughts on the matter.

He stated that it became clear that Meghan lacked the vocal talent or any kind of talent for that matter.

In his words, being famous does not automatically equate to being skilled in a particular area.

These remarks shed light on the underlying reasons behind Spotify’s decision to sever ties with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Earlier this month, both Spotify and the Sussex’s company, Archewell, released a joint statement announcing the end of their partnership.

The statement emphasized that the decision was reached mutually, with both parties expressing pride in the series they had created together.

This series referred to Meghan’s 12-episode podcast, which premiered last year.

The first episode of “Archetypes” was recorded in August, featuring tennis pro Serena Williams as a guest.

Each week, Meghan welcomed a new guest to discuss the challenges women face in society.

Despite the array of guests, it was reported that some declined Meghan’s invitation to appear on the show.

The Wall Street Journal even mentioned that American singer Taylor Swift politely turned down Meghan’s personal request.

Interestingly, the release of the original series of “Archetypes” occurred nearly two years after the couple signed their lucrative deal with Spotify.

According to Variety, Spotify had expected more content from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, leading to their decision to part ways.

However, this setback has not deterred the couple from pursuing other ventures.

They are still holding on to their deals with Penguin Random House and Netflix, both of which were signed in 2020.

As the news unfolds, it becomes increasingly evident that Meghan Markle’s post-royal career is facing scrutiny and challenges.

Hollywood legend Jeremy Zimmer’s scathing remarks serve as a reminder that fame alone does not guarantee success in various fields.
