Harry’s Complaints About Frogmore Cottage Debunked in Royal Spending Report
In the latest annual sovereign grant report, a detail has emerged that challenges Prince Harry’s claims of being treated unfairly.
The report, which outlines royal spending, reveals that a large apartment adjacent to Prince William and Catherine’s residence has been sitting empty for the past four years.
This revelation undermines Harry’s assertion that he and Meghan were given inferior accommodations while other members of the royal family enjoyed luxurious homes.
Harry had previously expressed his feelings of being the “spare,” always coming off as second best in comparison to his brother.
He believed that this treatment extended to the allocation of real estate.

In his book, “Spare,” Harry discussed living in Nottingham Cottage, an embarrassing residence compared to the grandeur of William and Catherine’s home.
However, the grant report shows that an equally spacious apartment, similar to the Wales’ residence, was available to Harry and Meghan had they chosen to stay in the UK.
The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, who had occupied the 21-room apartment for over 40 years, vacated it to make way for the Sussexes.
The Gloucesters had already invested $2.6 million in repairs and renovations, but Harry and Meghan ultimately decided to move to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate instead.
This contradicts Harry’s narrative of being forced to live in subpar conditions.
The grant report serves as a reminder that Harry and Meghan were never destined to remain in the tiny Nottingham Cottage.
It was always meant to be a temporary residence, not a long-term solution.
The notion that they were subjected to a life of discomfort is therefore unfounded.
The report also highlights the fact that significant funds from the grant could have been allocated to renovate the apartment for the Sussexes, had they chosen to reside there.

Similarly, Charles champions environmental causes but fails to address the excessive use of helicopters and private flights within the royal family.

Despite efforts to reduce energy usage, the Windsors took 179 helicopter trips, 65 chartered flights, and numerous royal train journeys.
