Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s ideas for Netflix have been dubbed sub-par by bosses, according to reports.

The streaming giant is reportedly unlikely to renew its deal with the Sussexes once it expires in 2025.

The couple has been under pressure to come up with better ideas after their previous performances were deemed too similar to other popular shows on the platform.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Harry and Meghan’s big ideas had sub-par execution, and productivity was also an issue.

Since signing the $100 million deal in 2020, the Duke and Duchess have starred in the sixth installment of “Harry and Meghan” and produced the documentary “Heart of Invictus.”

They have also been working on a prequel of “Great Expectations” called “Bad Manners,” which tells the story of Miss Havisham and the patriarchal world in which she lived.

However, promotions for a children’s cartoon called “Pearl,” featuring strong women from history, were rejected before it went into production.

The couple has been criticized for not delivering on their promise to create groundbreaking content for the platform.

It’s been a challenging few days for the Sussex family after Spotify broke their £18 million contract after just one series of originals.

Meghan interviewed high-profile women about the stereotypes they faced, but the company’s head of podcast innovation and monetization, Bill Simmons, called them grifters in an unusual outburst on his eponymous show.

Simmons said he wished he had been involved in the negotiations and called the couple grifters.

While Harry has never produced any content for Spotify, he has submitted a few ideas, including one involving his children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

However, some of his controversial performances have included sitting down with figures like Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin to talk about their childhoods and upbringing.

This plan was dismissed as dubious at best, especially given that these men had never shared such personal information about themselves before.

Meghan’s recently signed talent agency, WME, said the team behind “The Archewell Audio” remains proud of the podcast they created at Spotify.

Meghan continues to develop more content for the “Archewell Audio” audience on another platform.

The Sussexes have been criticized for their lack of creativity and originality, with many of their ideas being compared to other popular shows on the platform, such as “Emily in Paris” and “Heartstopper.”

The couple has been urged to come up with more innovative and groundbreaking ideas to justify their $100 million deal with Netflix.

The pressure is on for Harry and Meghan to deliver on their promise to create unique and compelling content for the platform.
