Harry and Meghan Welcome Baby Boy: A Royal Game of Cat and Mouse
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan joyfully welcomed their firstborn, Prince Archie Harrison, on May 6th, 2019.
The exciting news was confirmed by Harry himself, who spoke to the media on that day.
He expressed his delight, announcing that he and Meghan had a baby boy in the early hours of the morning, emphasizing that the newborn was in excellent health.
Two days later, the world caught its first glimpse of baby Archie when the Sussexes proudly presented him at Windsor Castle.
However, this public appearance marked a stark contrast to the events leading up to it, as one royal commentator described it as a peculiar game of cat and mouse, noting the couple’s decision to withhold certain details.

In a recent documentary titled “Harry and Meghan What’s Next,” which aired on Saturday, April 8th, Five News’ royal correspondent Simon Viger delved into the lives of the Sussexes since their departure from the royal family.
Viger highlighted the unusual circumstances surrounding the birth of baby Archie, stating, “What was really strange was that we, the press, the world, were lied to about when their baby was actually born.
We didn’t know where it was born.
We were told that Meghan had gone into labor and then there was a baby.
And to have this game of cat and mouse with the media, and I believe their own officials, about where the baby was being born was rather odd.”
Rumors circulated that the palace initially released a statement stating that Archie was born via a surrogate, but this announcement was later removed.
Lady Colin Campbell claimed that an announcement had been made in the early hours of the morning, declaring that Archie had been born through a surrogate.
The announcement supposedly originated from Kensington Palace.
However, it appears there was a typographical error in the announcement.
The official explanation given was that the palace’s website had been hacked.
Nevertheless, the news had already spread worldwide, with people capturing screenshots of the announcement before it was taken down.
The essence of the story is that an announcement was indeed issued by Kensington Palace, but they contend that it was a result of hacking.
The person responsible for posting the announcement boldly stated that the baby was born via a surrogate.
The content of the statement read simply, “This is a public announcement: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex used the services of a surrogate.
We apologize for any inconvenience.”
Notably, the second sentence contained a typographical error, as “we” was written in lowercase.
Lady C referred to this as the typographical error in question.
The apology for inconvenience refers to the fact that Harry and Meghan misled the palace regarding the timing of Meghan’s labor.
They informed the press that she was in the process of giving birth, but it later became apparent that they had returned home instead, causing considerable confusion.
The first announcement stated that Markle went into labor in the early hours of the morning, but it provided no indication of the precise time or whether she was still in labor when the announcement was made.
The second announcement revealed that she had given birth to a son at 5:26 am that morning.
Consequently, the statement confirming her labor was sent more than 8 hours after she had already delivered the baby.
Both announcements contained grammatical errors.
The labor announcement referred to Markle as “Her Royal Highnesses,” while the birth announcement was awkwardly worded.
