The Duke of Sussex’s recent court case against the Mirror Group newspapers has caused quite a stir, with his friend David Furnish slamming his performance on the witness stand.

Speaking to Sky News, Furnish claimed that Harry was “not doing well” after his grueling eight hours of cross-examination at the High Court earlier this month.

Furnish, who is married to Sir Elton John, also revealed that the Rocket Man superstar was preparing to bring on four special guests during his headline show at Glastonbury this weekend.

The final UK concert for the legendary musician has been billed as one of the biggest events of the year, and fans are eagerly anticipating the surprises that he has in store.

Discussing Sir Elton’s plans, Furnish said that the collaborators would be “people he just thought, I’d really like to do something with these artists at Glastonbury.”

However, he refused to reveal their identities, stating that he was “sworn to secrecy.”

Despite rumors that Britney Spears might make an appearance, Furnish remained tight-lipped about the potential guests, saying only that there would be “four different collaborators joining him on stage at different times.”

He added that the set list would be different from Sir Elton’s usual shows, and that there were “a lot of changes” to prepare for.

Turning back to Prince Harry, Furnish expressed his disappointment at the way the media had treated him during the court case.

“He’s taken a lot of flack in the media,” Furnish said.

“So what actually happens in the courtroom and what you read about in the newspaper are often two very, very different things.”

Harry had revealed in court that he was introduced to David Sherborne, his lawyer and privacy and defamation specialist, by Sir Elton John and his husband during a holiday in France that he and the Duchess had enjoyed with the couple.

This was the first time a member of the royal family had given evidence in court for 130 years.

Despite the support of his friends, Harry faced tough questioning from Andrew Green, a lawyer described as a “beast who eviscerates witnesses.”

Furnish’s comments suggest that the experience has taken a toll on the Duke, who is still coming to terms with the fallout from his decision to step back from royal duties.

The relationship between Prince Harry and Sir Elton John has also hit a stumbling block recently, with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex being snubbed for the singer-songwriter’s famous Oscars party.

Tom Bauer, who penned the book Revenge, Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, made the claim after the Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, March 12th.

Sir Elton has long been associated with Harry, who was the youngest son of his close friend Princess Diana.

The musician even performed at her funeral with a reworked version of his iconic track, A Candle in the Wind, raising money in her memory.

Despite the ups and downs, it is clear that Sir Elton and his husband remain supportive of Prince Harry, and are looking forward to putting on an unforgettable show at Glastonbury.

As Furnish said, “It’s not just another day in the office.

It’s a different set list.

It’s a huge outdoor live festival.”

Fans can’t wait to see what surprises Sir Elton has in store, and who will be joining him on stage for this historic event.
