Chrissy Teigen wants Meghan Markle-style interview to save her reputation
Chrissy Teigen is said to be hoping that Oprah Winfrey can salvage her image with a tell-all interview in the wake of her mounting cyber-bullying crisis.
“Chrissy is being advised to go into hiding and lay low. She is being told that all this will pass if she shuts up and does nothing,” sources informed The Naughty But Nice podcast of Chrissy’s approach.
“However, that isn’t her style which is why Chrissy is in talks with Oprah to do a Meghan Markle sit-down type interview and tell her truth.
“Chrissy is a fighter and believes that she is such an excellent communicator that there isn’t a mess she can’t talk her way out of!”
Following a public apology to one of her previous targets, Courtney Stodden, the TV personality went on a self-imposed social media hiatus.

Teigen has since apologized for suggesting that Lindsay Lohan physically harm herself out of jealousy, which garnered a lot of backlash for the once-beloved star, which many people find ironic given her tendency to slam others for problematic behaviors. In 2013, Farrah Abraham accused her of bullying her.
According to sources, Chrissy has reached out to some of her pals but has not yet contacted Meghan Markle.
“Look what happened to Ellen,” they added. “She said nothing for far too long and now she has lost her show. Chrissy isn’t going to go down without a fight.”
‘Every news outlet in the world has contacted Chrissy about getting her first on-camera interview, but Oprah is her first choice. If Oprah can forgive Chrissy, then so can the nation,’ the sources say.
On Monday morning, the 35-year-old model wrote a lengthy essay on Medium in which she acknowledged to being a ‘troll’ and a ‘a**hole,’ but insisted that she is ‘no longer that person.’
“Not a day, not a single moment has passed where I haven’t felt the crushing weight of regret for the things I’ve said in the past,” she added.
“I’ve apologized publicly to one person, but there are others — and more than just a few — who I need to say I’m sorry to.
“I’m in the process of privately reaching out to the people I insulted…I understand that they may not want to speak to me. I don’t think I’d like to speak to me.
“(The real truth in all of this is how much I actually cannot take confrontation.) But if they do, I am here and I will listen to what they have to say, while apologizing through sobs.”
Texts from Chrissy urging famous designer Michael Costello to “suffer and die” after she “spread rumors he was racist” came out earlier this week.
In recent weeks, she has been under criticism for nasty tweets directed towards Stodden, Lindsay Lohan, Quvenzhané Wallis, and others.
“I was insecure, immature, and in a world where I thought I needed to impress strangers to be accepted,” Teigen writes elsewhere in her public statement. “If there was a pop culture pile-on, I took to Twitter to try to gain attention and show off what I at the time believed was a crude, clever, harmless quip. I thought it made me cool and relatable if I poked fun at celebrities.”
“Life has made me more empathetic,” she continued. “I’m more understanding of what motivates trolling — the instant gratification that you get from lashing out and clapping back, throwing rocks at someone you think is invincible because they’re famous. Also, I know now how it feels to be on the receiving end of incredible vitriol. Believe me, the irony of this is not lost on me.”
