Amal Clooney Speaks Out Against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Grifting Ways

Renowned human rights lawyer Amal Clooney caused quite a stir at the Prince Trust Awards earlier this month when she made some scathing remarks about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

According to Clooney, the couple are perpetual freeloaders and scroungers who are always looking for a handout.

Clooney went on to reveal that Meghan would often approach wealthy individuals at gatherings, asking to hang out and getting their contact information.

Then, Harry would call the next day and ask if they could borrow their beach house or use their private jet to get there.

Clooney herself was asked if they could use her beach house, and after agreeing, was then asked if they could use her private jet, which she refused.

According to Clooney, this is a pattern that has repeated itself with other wealthy individuals such as Tyler Perry and Elton John.

Even Netflix and Spotify have reportedly grown tired of the couple’s non-stop grifting.

Clooney went on to criticize Meghan’s attitude towards freebies, saying that while it may be difficult to alter one’s perception of freebies when one is used to receiving and keeping them, it becomes obscene when one expects and demands them.

Meghan, according to Clooney, thought she was above everyone else and that freebies were a god-given right.

Unfortunately, this is not the case, and Meghan is failing to understand this concept.

In Harry’s memoir, he reportedly wrote that Meghan shared all the freebies she received with all the women in the office, including clothes, perfumes, and makeup.

Markle allegedly hungered for luxury freebies even after joining the royal family and thought they needed her more than she needed them.

Tom Brown, author of The Palace Papers: Inside the House of Windsor, agreed with Clooney’s opinion, explaining how a blog at the time called The Take was Meghan’s way of getting luxury freebies.

According to Brown, Meghan put a reputation among the marketers of luxury brands of being warmly interested in receiving bags of designer swag, a reputation that allegedly continued even after she officially joined the royal family.

Even once she married Prince Harry, Meghan reportedly still tried to get freebies from luxury brands.

A publicist claimed to have been copied into a message from Meghan’s team where she allegedly wrote, “make sure the publicist knows that she can still send me anything.

She’s always been one of the good ones.”

This is not the first time questions have been raised about Meghan’s acceptance of presents while a working member of the royal family.

Under the rules, gifts offered by businesses in the UK should normally be declined unless they are offered as a souvenir of an official visit to the enterprise’s premises, to mark a royal marriage, or other special personal occasion.

The rules also state that when gifts are accepted, the consent of the members of the royal family should depend on the business not exploiting the gift for commercial purposes.

Gifts should always be returned unless it’s not justified to do so due to the cost.

However, if such presents are not returned, they should then be treated as official gifts, the rules state.

Official gifts are not the private property of the royal who receives them but are received on behalf of the monarch.

The rules stipulate they should be traceable wherever possible.

While Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly been close with George and Amal Clooney for years, even inviting them to their wedding, the Hollywood couple has shown support for King Charles.

It remains to be seen if Harry and Meghan will respond to these allegations or if they will continue to be seen as grifters in the eyes of the public.
