Royal Family has ‘very real fears’ that Harry’s book deal could ‘destabilise monarchy’
According to reports, the Royal Family has “very real fears” that Prince Harry’s book contract could destabilize the monarchy.
There is fear that the publication of one of the books may occur after the Queen’s death, thereby jeopardizing the “transition” – a process that started many years ago to gradually prepare the nation for the succession.
Palace courtiers are also skeptical that Harry and Meghan Markle will provide advance copies to the royals, which is creating concern.
According to reports, the Duke of Sussex has secured a lucrative multi-million pound agreement for four books, and as part of the arrangement, his wife Meghan Markle will write a wellness guide.
According to Harry’s attorneys, the allegation that he is waiting for his grandmother to die before publishing one of the books is “false and defamatory.”

“Contrary to false media reports, there is only one memoir planned by The Duke of Sussex and it’s scheduled to be published in late 2022 as was announced earlier this week by Penguin Random House,” a spokesman for Harry said.
According to the Mail on Sunday, the Royal Family has “very real fears that the book deal could destabilise the monarchy by undermining Charles’ reputation and disrupting the transition which is slowly preparing the country for the succession.”
Dad-of-two Harry, who will be 37 in September, plans to release a literary memoir next year, which he promises will be a “accurate and wholly truthful” account of his life so far.
However, it also coincides with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, raising concerns that it may overshadow festivities marking her 70 years as monarch.
The book is billed as the “definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him” and will be published on the 25th anniversary of his mother Princess Diana’s death.
Harry’s contract is allegedly for £18 million with all profits going to charity.
It will chronicle his whole public life, including his military service, marriage, and parenthood.
According to a source, there is also ‘anger and disappointment’ among courtiers that the Queen worries about the book’s content only months after the death of her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh.
However, it has been decided not to react to the announcement for fear of “fanning the flames”
Brits are also dissatisfied with the Duke’s book contract, with a recent YouGov poll showing that 38% think it’s “very inappropriate” for him to write a memoir, while 15% think it’s “fairly inappropriate” 14 percent of the 5808 individuals polled thought it was “fairly appropriate” and 9 percent said it was “very appropriate”
They’re also uninterested in reading Harry’s story. Only 14% of those polled are “very” or “fairly” interested in reading the book, while 67% are “not interested at all” and 15% are “not very interested”
The book, which will be published by Penguin Random House, will be written “not as the prince I was born, but as the man I have become,” says Harry.
While there is an obvious schism between Harry and his father, Prince Charles, and brother, Prince William, The Mail on Sunday reports that his cousins, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, are much more sympathetic to him.
‘They believe Harry’s outspoken remarks may have been triggered because previously his voice and opinions were rarely heard within the Royal Family,’ claimed a friend, adding that Harry was seen as the family’s ‘resident joker’ and that ‘eyes would roll’ if he offered an opinion on important issues.
