Princess Anne “objected strongly” to her nephew Prince Harry’s involvement with Meghan Markle, according to Lady Colin Campbell, calling her “unsuitable” and “wrong for the country.”

According to the Mirror, writer Lady Colin Campbell addressed the concerns highlighted by the Princess Royal in a 38-minute video posted on YouTube.

She claims that Anne, 70, was the “champion” of the “don’t marry that girl” campaign because the royal thought Meghan, 39, was “unsuitable”

Meghan “charmed” Prince Charles and The Queen when she and Harry began dating in 2016 – but “did not suceed” with Princess Anne, according to Lady Colin Campbell, who married and later divorced Lord Colin Ivar Campbell, the younger son of the eleventh Duke of Argyll.

“Princess Anne absolutely knew what Meghan was from the word go,” Lady C told her 78,500 YouTube subscribers.

“She watched the developing relationship evidently – this is what I’ve been told, and I have absolute reason to believe that everything is accurate – with increasing horror.

“Because the more she knew and the more she saw and the more reports she got back about Meghan, was that beneath the ruthless charm was a real operator and she saw her coming a mile off.

“She objected strongly that the relationship developed on several grounds. All of which were based upon conduct and character.”

Lady C added: “Princess Anne was the champion in terms of ‘don’t marry that girl, she is unsuitable’.

“‘She is wrong for us, she is wrong for the country, she is wrong for the job’. Well, it’s turned out to be true.”

Anne, the Queen’s second child and only daughter, allegedly felt Meghan was “flagrantly attention-seeking,” according to Lady C.

“It just absolutely turned Princess Anne off,” she said. “Because she couldn’t stand Meghan’s constant ‘uh, uh, me, me me, me’.”

“We are not commenting on Lady Campbell’s speculation at all,” a spokesman for Buckingham Palace told the Daily Star.

When asked about Meghan Markle’s accusations of racism against the royal family, Lady C maintained that they are untrue.

In a shocking interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Duchess of Sussex said that remarks regarding her unborn child, Archie, were made.

She said a member of the royal family expressed worry about the child’s skin color, but she wouldn’t say who.

Meghan “weaponised” some of the “objections” against her on the “grounds of colour,” Lady C said in her video.

“No one is the guilty party in terms of racism.”

“There were no concerns about Meghan’s color,” he said.

“Princess Anne was rightly concerned that if the marriage proceeded and there were children there would be huge problems.

“Not because of Meghan’s colour, but because of Meghan’s inability and determination to remain unable to appreciate the cultural differences.

“And to actually have respect for the institution into which she was going to be marrying and the family into which she was marrying.”

The well-known writer, socialite, and TV personality, recently said that she would be “very surprised” if Oprah Winfrey obtains another interview with a member of the Royal Family.

The royal family was shocked in March when Harry, 36, and Meghan, 36, sat down with Winfrey, 67, and made many major disclosures.
