Meghan Markle gives sweet update on her ‘beautiful’ daughter Lilibet

Meghan Markle has finally updated royal fans about her baby Lilibet, calling her “beautiful.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are in New York for a series of formal engagements, their first since leaving the United Kingdom for California and standing down as senior royals.

The Duchess and Prince Harry had not yet shared any details about Lilibet since she was born in July 2021. Meghan eventually spoke up while going between their numerous public engagements on Friday, September 24, 2021.

The pair met with politicians Bill de Blasio and Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the US ambassador to the United Nations, on Saturday to address the pandemic, racial justice, and the mental health crises.

“Meghan, how’s Lilibet?” a reporter inquired.

Meghan, who is adamant about their children’s privacy, simply answered, “She’s beautiful.”

Another journalist said, “How’s Archie?” Meghan responded with a big thumbs up.

Harry and Meghan are said to have traveled to the city alone, leaving Lilibet, three months old, and her brother Archie at home in California.

Despite the fact that people are eager to see Lilibet, especially in the run-up to her christening, which would be a significant indicator about the royal schism, the pair has stayed extremely secretive.

Although Archie was christened in a private ceremony in the United Kingdom, the pair has since migrated to America and taken a back seat as senior royals, which might imply they would break convention with Lilibet’s christening as well.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have yet to reveal an official portrait of Lilibet, instead sending private images of her to the royal family over Whatsapp.

They have taken legal action in the past to shield their children from journalistic intrusion, demonstrating their commitment to keeping their children safe from the press. For example, in July 2020, they filed a lawsuit in California over paparazzi photographs of their son Archie.

According to BBC News, the photos were obtained using drones and helicopters, according to a legal petition. The filing stated, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are filing this lawsuit to protect their young son’s right to privacy in their home. Without intrusion by photographers, and to uncover and stop those who seek to profit from these illegal actions.”

“They seem to have very fixed views about the privacy of family occasions,” royal critic Adam Helliker told The Sun.

“I think having the christening in the UK will be putting too much pressure on them. And I think Meghan will be putting her foot down and say no we don’t want an international circus.”

It marked Meghan’s first public appearance since the birth of Lilibet yesterday, when she and Harry visited the city’s tallest skyscraper, the One World Trade Center, and its One World Observatory, which was erected on the site of the old World Trade Center.

Meghan was asked whether she was enjoying her vacation to New York as they posed for photos on the observation deck, and she answered, “It’s wonderful to be back, thank you.”

Meghan and Harry started their three-day tour to New York City today, visiting P.S. 123 Mahalia Jackson School.

Meghan was spotted hugging one of the students as they showed the royal couple a colorful artwork they had painted on the school’s playground.
