Why Zoe Kravitz wanted to be n^ked on the cover of Rolling Stone
Zoe Kravitz recently graced the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, recreating a shoot her mother, Lisa Bonet, did for the same publication 30 years ago.
Bonet appeared on the cover of the Hot Issue in May 1988 while two months pregnant with Kravitz.
For her cover, Kravitz decided to recreate the shoot, but with a twist.
She chose to do the cover her mother wanted but didn’t get – a n^de photo without a shirt.
Kravitz revealed that her mother was disappointed when the magazine used a different photo as the cover.

The actress explained that the shoot wasn’t really about the photo itself, but it was more about doing what her mom intended to do.
For Kravitz, that felt cool.
“When I think of Rolling Stone, that’s always the image that pops into my head.
It’s a really striking image of her.
It’s beautiful,” she said.
Kravitz also paid homage to her father, Lenny Kravitz, in the November issue of the magazine.
She used her grandmother’s boa, which was also featured in one of his album covers, in some of the photos.
Despite trying to avoid referencing her parents in the past, Kravitz said it was a good time to do so.
She feels comfortable in her own skin and wants to show appreciation for her parents.
“They’re my parents, and I love them,” she said.
Kravitz’s definition of “hot” was also featured in the magazine.
She stated that being hot means being vibrant, confident, and comfortable with who you are.
She also mentioned some famous personalities, such as Mick Jagger and Aretha Franklin, who are unapologetically themselves.
Her mom, on the other hand, defined hot as being uncompromising, nonconforming, and unafraid to be yourself and what you feel.
Kravitz was thrilled to learn that her mother’s definition of hot was similar to hers.
She said, “We’re the same!
I’ve genuinely never seen her answer to that.
She instilled that in me, I guess.
That’s so cool.”
Kravitz has been making waves in Hollywood for several years now.
She has starred in various films and television shows, including Mad Max: Fury Road and Big Little Lies.
Her talent and beauty have been recognized by the entertainment industry, making her one of the most sought-after actresses of her generation.
