Shania Twain is ‘unashamed’ of showing off n^ked body in her late 50s
Country-pop icon Shania Twain has said that posing topless for the cover of her latest single, “Waking Up Dreaming,” has been “liberating.”
The 57-year-old singer opened up about how it was a way for her to heal from lifelong body image issues.
Twain believes that showing off her “new body” as she gets older has helped her to gain confidence and feels that anything can be fashionable if worn with confidence.
She stated that “I am a woman in my late 50s, and I don’t need to hide behind the clothes.”
In the cover art for the single, Twain can be seen wearing nothing but a cowboy hat and a pair of colorful pointy-toed boots while covering her chest with her arms.

Fans were shocked by the image, but the singer is known for carving her own path in the music industry, having ditched bras from the very beginning of her career.
In the 1993 music video for “What Made You Say That,” she went bra-free.
However, as she grew older, Twain began to feel pressure to cover up more due to changes in her body.
Twain did not want to regress back to her insecure self and noticed her “courage” was “dulling.” She made a promise to herself to embrace her body as it changes, just as she should have from childhood to her 20s and 30s, and now in her menopausal years.
Twain wants to be courageous about it and share that courage through the artwork she directs.
The singer kept her promise at this year’s People’s Choice Awards when she walked the red carpet in a s**y, semi-sheer cheetah-print gown that paid homage to her iconic look from the 1998 “That Don’t Impress Me Much” music video.
The ensemble included a hood, black velvet skirt, sheer sleeves, and midsection panel that showed off her toned abs.
Twain believes that being comfortable in her own skin and showing off her body is a way of expressing herself.
She feels that women should not feel ashamed of their bodies, especially as they age.
Twain added that she was “just so unashamed of my new body, you know, as a woman that is well into my menopause.”
She wants to be an inspiration for other women who may be struggling with their body image.
The singer has always been known for her confidence and unique style, which has earned her a legion of fans worldwide.
Twain’s music has sold over 100 million records, making her one of the best-selling female artists of all time.
Her career began in the 1990s, and she has released several hit singles such as “Man!
I Feel Like A Woman” and “From This Moment On.”
Twain’s decision to showcase her body at her age has been met with mixed reactions.
However, she remains unapologetic about it, stating that she wants to be true to herself and express her truth.
“This is me expressing my truth.
I’m comfortable in my own skin, and this is the way I am sharing that confidence,” she said.
Twain hopes that her actions will encourage other women to embrace their bodies and be proud of who they are.
