Prince William, the main character in the Queen’s will, has recently inherited a multitude of titles, leaving his brother Prince Harry green with envy.

With King Charles III now reigning, the process of familiarizing oneself with the royal family’s numerous titles begins anew.

While it is no surprise that Prince William has taken on his father’s former title as the Prince of Wales, there are several other titles he has acquired that the public may not be aware of.

One of the most significant transitions for Prince William is assuming the esteemed title of Prince of Wales, an honor traditionally bestowed upon the heir apparent to the British throne.

However, this title was not automatically conferred upon him.

It was graciously passed down by King Charles himself during his first address as the monarch.

Additionally, Kate Middleton, Prince William’s wife, has been granted the title of Princess of Wales, a position previously held by the beloved Princess Diana.

In addition to these new titles, Prince William also inherits a long list of other noble designations following the passing of Queen Elizabeth.

Alongside his new titles, he retains his Dukedom of Cambridge, a title bestowed upon him by Queen Elizabeth II as a wedding gift when he married Kate Middleton.

This prestigious title had not been held by anyone since Prince George in 1904.

Similarly, Prince Harry’s title as Duke of Sussex remains unchanged during this transition.

The Dukedom was last bestowed upon Prince Augustus Frederick in 1843.

With these new titles, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can now refer to their children as Prince and Princess, a change that is sure to ignite passionate discussions among their critics.

However, it remains uncertain whether they have any intentions of doing so.

Now that King Charles III has ascended the throne, his son and heir apparent, Prince William, is officially known as William, Prince of Wales, Duke of Cambridge, Cornwall, and Rothsey, Earl of Strathern, Chester, and Carrick, Baron of Renfrew and Carrick-Fergus, Lord of the Isles, and Prince and Great Steward of Scotland.

Saying all of these titles in one breath would be quite a challenge.

Nonetheless, for simplicity’s sake, he will still be affectionately referred to as Prince William.

While Prince William’s title remains familiar, the same may not be true for his wife, Kate Middleton.

Some have already taken to styling her as Princess Kate, but only time will tell if this nickname sticks.

Over the years, the Princess of Wales and the Queen formed an incredible bond that endured until the monarch’s passing.

Prince William’s relationship with Kate Middleton blossomed during their university days, but it was only years later that she officially met the Queen.

Initially, there were concerns about Kate becoming William’s wife, but those worries quickly dissipated as they developed a strong connection.

In fact, William sought his grandmother’s advice on their future together and was reportedly disheartened when they briefly broke up.

Since then, Kate has been granted the rare privilege of borrowing the Queen’s jewelry, further solidifying their relationship.

However, reports suggest that the Queen did have reservations about Kate before she married into the royal family.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl reveals in her book, “The Making of a Royal Romance,” that the Queen liked Kate but was concerned about her lack of individual identity prior to the engagement.

The Queen believed that Kate needed to establish a career and have her own sense of self before announcing their engagement.

In conclusion, Prince William’s recent inheritance of numerous titles has left his brother Prince Harry envious.
