Three Words from the Queen to Prince Harry Reveal Her Disappointment
The Queen rarely discloses her emotions in public, but a mere three words in an official statement from Buckingham Palace have unveiled her true sentiments about the Oprah Winfrey interview.
Being cautious about expressing personal opinions in public and aware of the constraints imposed by her position, Her Majesty has occasionally let her true feelings slip.
In response to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, Queen Elizabeth issued a concise official statement, which included the phrase “memories may differ.”
This statement was released two days after the interview aired in the US, wherein the Royal Family expressed sadness upon learning that Meghan and Harry were upset, emphasizing that they will always be loved as family.
However, amidst some of the Sussexes’ harshest claims, the Queen’s statement subtly suggested that their recollections may not be entirely genuine.

The Duchess also disclosed that there were concerns and discussions regarding Archie’s skin color at birth, although she refrained from revealing the identity of the royal involved in such speculation.
Christopher Wilson of the Daily Express analyzed the official statement from Buckingham Palace and concluded that it reflected the Queen’s profound disappointment in Harry.
Wilson wrote, “The tragedy is that Prince Harry, her beloved grandson, cannot comprehend any concept of family other than the one he created for himself.”
He further added, “We will never truly comprehend the pain the Queen endured when she and her wife Meghan disgracefully fled Britain for America, betraying everything the Queen herself stood for.”
Nevertheless, the Queen’s succinct statement, “memories may differ,” provides a glimpse into her personal disappointment.
