Princess Charlotte’s Cute Nickname Revealed by Prince William
Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, has recently let slip a heartwarming nickname he uses for his daughter, Princess Charlotte.
The adorable moniker was accidentally disclosed by the proud father during a visit to the Chelsea Garden Show.
Like any other child, Princess Charlotte has a number of nicknames, but the one revealed by Prince William is particularly unexpected and holds a special significance.
In a newly discovered video from the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show, the prince and princess of Wales’ three children can be seen enthusiastically supporting their mother and her garden.
At one point in the video, William can be heard affectionately asking his daughter to give him a push on the tree swing using a cute nickname.

He refers to her as “Mignonette,” a French term that conveys the meaning of being cute, small, sweet, and delicate.
Interestingly, the term also carries older connotations of being gentle or kind.
This is not the first time a member of the royal family has revealed a nickname for Princess Charlotte.
In 2019, Princess Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, shared a more conventional nickname during an official visit to Ireland.
While conversing with another mother named Laura-Anne, Kate mentioned that her daughter goes by the name “Lottie.”
It was a heartwarming moment when Kate realized that Laura-Anne’s son Bertie was the same age as Lottie.
But Princess Charlotte is not the only one among the royal siblings to have a nickname.
It is said that Prince Louis’ brothers, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, affectionately call him “Lou-Lou.”
Life and Style magazine reported that it was Charlotte and George who came up with this endearing moniker for their younger brother.
As for Prince George, the eldest of the three, he is reportedly referred to as “PG” or “Tips” in school, a clever play on his initials and the brand.
Turning our attention back to Princess Charlotte, who recently turned eight, she made a notable appearance alongside her five-year-old brother, Prince Louis, after their royal parents during the King’s coronation on May 6.
The couple’s oldest child, Prince George, was also present but entered the abbey separately as he had the significant role of being one of the King’s pages of honor.
