Prince William is ‘very upset’ that Prince Harry revealed their private conversations to Gayle King.
Though Prince William and Kate Middleton put on happy faces for their St. Patrick’s Day message, the Duke of Cambridge is upset behind the scenes.
In the aftermath of their explosive tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King announced on Tuesday’s CBS This Morning that she had talked with William’s younger brother, Prince Harry, and his partner, Meghan Markle.
Following the interview, Harry told King that he had spoken with both William and their father, Prince Charles.
“Those conversations were not productive,” King said of Harry’s talks with his family. “But they are glad they have at least started a conversation,” she added.
Prince William is now said to be “deeply distressed” by Harry and Meghan’s decision to share private family conversations with King.

A source also heard that Harry and Meghan hoped that their conversations with the royal family would lead to the start of a healing process.
According to the source, William is “fiercely protective” of Kate in the aftermath of the Winfrey interview and was “unhappy” with Meghan’s decision to include Kate in the interview.
Despite claims to the contrary, Meghan reported early in the tell-all that Kate was the one who made her cry in the run-up to Meghan and Harry’s 2018 royal wedding. Meghan was angry that when the story about Meghan making Kate cry leaked, the Palace and the Cambridges did little to counter the allegations, despite Meghan claiming Kate apologised and gave her flowers at the time.
Meghan told Winfrey, “I’m not sharing that piece about Kate in any way to be disparaging to her,” “I believe it is critical for people to comprehend the facts. And, look, I’m sure she would have had that fixed, and maybe, just as the Palace wouldn’t let anybody else — negate it, they wouldn’t let her because she’s a decent person.”
Queen Elizabeth II, according to ET’s source, has found the whole situation “very disturbing.”
According to a second source who spoke to ET about Prince Philip, “Since leaving the hospital yesterday, Prince Philip has been in good spirits.”
William has expressed his disappointment with the Winfrey interview in public. When asked if the royal family was racist by a reporter at an official event, he quickly replied, “We are very much not a racist family.”
