Prince William accuses Prince Harry of putting ‘Fame Over Family’

Viewers have been curious about Prince William’s reaction to Harry and Meghan’s Oprah interview since it aired. The Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex’s first conversation since the Oprah interview, according to a source for Us Weekly, did not go down well.

Prince William and Prince Harry are said to be at odds after the explosive chat, with the Duke of Cambridge believing his brother has become “too big for his boots.”

“The conversation Harry and William had after the big interview didn’t end well,” a source told Us Weekly on Wednesday.

According to the source, William’s view of Harry changed after he and his partner, Meghan Markle, relocated to California in 2020 with their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor.

“William feels that Harry has gotten too big for his boots since moving to California — that success and Hollywood have gone to his head. He’s already accused [Harry] of putting fame over family after the big interview.”

The talks after the interview, as Gayle King previously revealed on CBS This Morning, were not particularly productive, and it was later reported that although the Duke of Cambridge was still enraged at a few of the disclosures Prince Harry and Meghan Markle exchanged during the special, he grew much angrier after his brother leaked their private chat to Gayle King.

Us Weekly’s article differs significantly from what Page Six published in March 2021, shortly after Harry and Oprah’s interview. According to the newspaper at the time, William wanted to have a “heart-to-heart” chat with Harry after the interview, but had yet to do so. At the moment, a UK source said, “They have opened communication channels.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex accused the Royal Family of racism.

They also said that while pregnant with their son, Archie, Meghan Markle felt depressed and failed to get the treatment she needed.

There’s been a lot of chatter from royal insiders in the weeks leading up to the massive reveal of their mother’s new statue about how it could be just the thing to reunite William and Harry. However, a source told Us Weekly that it may be the very thing that permanently separates them. According to reports, “William is insisting” on speaking with Harry before the big event, but he “refuses to meet up” and “won’t be bossed around.” “If Harry acts out on the day, or worse, doesn’t show up, William will never, ever forgive him,” they say.

The sculpture, created by Ian Rank-Broadley, will be unveiled on July 1 at Kensington Palace. Since the project began in 2017, both brothers have been in charge of it.

Though Prince Harry’s current intention is to travel to the United Kingdom for the announcement, there’s a chance he won’t be able to do so. It all depends on when Prince Harry and Meghan’s baby girl arrives; they said the due date is this summer, and if it’s too close to the July 1 unveiling, the Duke of Sussex will most likely stay in Montecito.

The Duke of Sussex described his brother as being “trapped” inside the royal institution during his Oprah interview with Meghan. On Sunday, March 7, Harry told Oprah, “I was trapped, but I didn’t know I was trapped,” Harry told Oprah on Sunday, March 7. “My father [Prince Charles] and my brother, they are trapped. They don’t get to leave. And I have huge compassion for that.” For the time being, the retired military pilot revealed that he and his brother have kept their distance.

“As I said before, I love William to bits,” Harry explained. “We’ve been through hell together and we have a shared experience but we are on different paths. The relationship is space at the moment and time heals all things, hopefully.”
